The ashes of the flame

*Nick POV*

"For the next match, we have Nick versus Callahan." Dan announced. 

I entered the ring and came face to face with a boy with antlers. To be honest, they looked kind of weird. I mean, it's not everyday you get to see a normal human male with antlers, do you?

"I'm Callahan, may we have a good match." The boy said. 

"Likewise, I'm Nick by the way." I replied. 

"Match... BEGIN!" Dan yelled. 

For some reason, Callahan positioned himself on all fours instead of charging towards me. I found his antic quite strange, however, I knew it was a bad idea to drop my guard just because I was confused. 

"FIRE!" Callahan yelled. 

Suddenly, one of Callahan's antlers shot right out of his head and flew straight towards me. As any normal person would've reacted, I was shocked. As a retaliation, I created a blast of fire and threw it at the antler, causing it to explode. 

"What the heck was that!?" I blurted out. 

Callahan answered my question, but differently. Instead of explaining how his quirk worked, he fired more of his antlers right at me. 

"Oh shit-" I said as I countered them with fire blasts of my own. 

No matter how many times I countered the antlers, they just kept coming. It was only then I learnt that the antlers instantly grew back right after being shot. Talk about unfair. 

"I can't go on like this, I need to find an opening somehow!" I thought to myself. 

Then I noticed.

Was his head... Bleeding? 

"That must be his quirk drawback!" I thought. I now had a plan. 

Two big flames appeared on my hands, the flames soon spreader toward other parts of my body until finally, the process was done. My entire body was engulfed in a massive flame. 

"I gotta finish this quick, I can't keep this technique up for long." I thought to myself as I flew up into the sky. 

Of course, Callahan's antlers followed me up. But my body was powerful enough to withstand the force of the impact of the antlers for now. Without wasting time, I sent a powerful flamethrower attack right at Callahan. 

Callahan took the attack head on as it engulfed him, and then an explosion occurred. 

Once the smoke cleared, Callahan was still inside the ring. However, he was knocked out completely. I descended to the ground as the flames around my body extinguished fully, there were a couple of small burns and injuries, but it was nothing I couldn't handle. 

"The victor of the match is Nick!" Dan announced. 

"Not bad, but he could use a little more practice with that human barbecue form of his." Technoblade commented.
