SEETY"I couldn't believe what my ears heard. I quickly merge into the room and confronted them but none of them gave a reasonable answer. The whole room went silent for minutes then Baba Jibo said something I never thought he would;
" Larai, you are the only girl in the house and we all love you dearly. Since when you were a child your brothers had a habit of touching kids' private parts and one day they were reported to me. For me to be embarrassed in the neighbourhood I made a timetable for them to be visiting your room. Each of them spent a night with you since you were 4years old till date. I bought some potion from a herbalist that I used to pure in your drink at night so as to sedate you."
I felt cheated upon, these men have been sleeping with me for about 20 years and their parents did not see anything wrong about it. I felt disgusted with the disclosure and I felt like committing suicide.
I quickly ran to my father's house and narrated the incident to him. He beat the hell out of me and sent me back to Baba Jibo's house instantly.
I returned and life continued, nothing changed. One day I fall sick and when I was taken to the local drugstore of our village the man there confirmed I was pregnant.
Baba Jibo insisted that the pregnancy be aborted but the man refused saying it's very risky. We came back home and Baba grinded some leaves and gave me to drink and I did. I spent the whole night crying and shouting for help only Baba Tani stayed with me. At dawn, I started bleeding and the product of conception fall.
Days passed and I felt I'm still not myself so I made up my mind to leave for good. I planned my escape plan for days and when the time came, I eloped at dawn one faithful thursday. I suffered like hell but at the end faith made it that I will be here. That's my story Amaanee. Seety you can go next." Lara ended wiping tears off her face.
The lady she called Seety adjusted her sitting position and from the way she talks you will understand that she is quite exposed to a wild lifestyle.
" I'm 25 years old this month. I grew in the city of Kaduna, my family are rich and I studied overseas. I lived a lavish life since I was a kid up to my adulthood and no body scolded me for anything. I started watching porn videos at the age of 9 and at 11years I lost my virginity to our house maid Ado. He always tell he loves me but I never believed him, so that day I made him show me how much he truly loves me. When I went to study abroad, I explored sexual life to my gratification. I can't remember the number of boyfriends I had in my life because they were pretty ample. I'm wild when it comes to lovemaking, no one forced himself on me but I have preference on my type of men I chose to be with. I don't smoke nor drink alcohol but I make sure I have fun at parties. After graduation I came back home and met numerous new rules that I couldn't abide by them. Things like; throwing parties aren't allowed, no keeping male friends, no half dressing and the rest. That's was really stressing for me babe, why on earth will they make such rules after all they know the kind of girl they raised. Thereafter all that stress, my dad insisted I bring a man to marry so I ran away from home as simple as that, leaving a note telling my parent to let me be and never bother to search for me." She paused to chew popcorn and continued;
"I'm not ready to be a boring house wife, not yet dear. You know how our Arewa parents are, they refused to let me be. They are to be blamed for what I have became, they never cared to put eyes on me. One day, I met Jakadiya at a friend's wedding being that I've heard a lot about her and I told her I want to be her package after emphasising I'm not in for the money and she agreed. For my parents, we talk time to time but I insisted on staying here taking pleasure in my life to the fullest. Cheers to womanhood ladies!"
