{17}Get Ready Y/N!{17}

You sit up on the couch wondering why you were sleeping there. You scrunch up your nose remembering the reasoning behind your odd placement and stand up. What time was it? 6:34, finally you woke at a reasonable time. 

Your bare feet carry you to your kitchen, your eyes gazed around for something to eat. Seeing nothing out on the counter yet, you drag a chair over by the cabinets. You crawl up onto the chair and open up the cabinet, looking through its contents. 

You pull out a box of lucky charms(or a different cereal whatever) and shake it up to your ear. There sounded to be enough for breakfast so you climb down off your chair and close the cabinets. You push the chair over to another set of high cabinets and climb back on to get a bowl. 

You climb back down with a bowl and place it next to your cereal. You pull the chair back to its original spot while opening the fridge door with your foot. You head over to the opened fridge and open a nearby drawer pull out a spoon.

Now with all your things for cereal, you bring them out to your "campsite" and turn the tv on. You pour your cereal while watching whatever channel had happened to be playing. After an episode or two, you switch the channel and are met with the weather forecast for today.

"Today will be mostly sunny in Sendai. There will be a chance of thunderstorms closer to the afternoon."

"Alright Keiji, and when in the afternoon time-wise? Just a personal question."

The news reporter and weather meteorologist(that's the person that does weather right?) laugh together before he answers the girl.

"I don't mind answering at all, don't worry. Starting around 3:30 and possibly going to 5:30 or later that night."

"Thank you very much, Keiji. Next up we have news from Shiratorizawa's boy's volleyball team in the Miyagi prefecture. The team almost everyone is rooting for this time around"

Of course, the Spring High-Miyagi volleyball season was going to start soon. It was all the local news would talk about with Ushijima at the school.

"We have the majority of the same line-up from the Interhigh-Preliminaries with an addition of a new manager to their team! We do not yet know the student's name but will hope to get their name soon."

You change the channel and get up with a now-empty bowl of cereal. Upon entering the kitchen you realize who much time had actually passed while watching tv. 8:30, damn time flies. You washed out your bowl and left the cereal on the counter before rushing upstairs. 

Even though you had time to get dressed, you knew Shirabu's house was a bit away from yours so you'd have to leave early. Now in your room, you go right to your closet pulling off Satori's old shirt you wore to bed. Now what to wear today. 

You didn't want to look flashy even though you really loved Shirabu. You grab a bra and struggle to clip it in the back while looking for a shirt and pair of pants to wear. It was also going to be sunny, but it was still early spring. 

You grab a pair of loose black shorts, those should be good right? But for your top. You search through your shirts no knowing which to wear. You pick out a simple f/c t-shirt with some rips in it around the bottom. You grab a matching colored pair of thigh high socks, your favorites as well. 

To finish off the look you slip a few bracelets on and a baggy sweatshirt, it might have been one of Satori's, but it didn't smell like his. Regardless of who's hoodie it was you still felt like it missing something. Why am I worried about how good I look? It's just a study session right? Oh shit, I forgot to tell Satori.

You shake your head and pinpoint what you felt was missing. Tucking in the front of the sweatshirt and putting on a volleyball necklace over it all truly completed the look. You check yourself out in the mirror before slipping the socks on and really seeing how everything combined.

You grab your school bag neatly placing your textbooks, paper, and laptop into it. You closed it securely before grabbing your favorite pair of headphones. They had cute cat ears that looked like speakers, even though the "speakers" didn't work. You slide out of your room and bump into none other than your brother.

"Someone's dressed up~"

"Oh shut it! I have to go through."

"Where? Did we have plans for today?"

"Oh no, sorry I forgot to tell you yesterday you seemed, busy."

Your brother flushed bright red and looked to the ground clearing his throat from embarrassment. You let out a small laugh at his reaction before continuing your words.

"I'm going to study for midterms with Shirabu. I'll be back before dark, don't worry."

"Why Shirabu?"

"Because he's smart? We share a few classes so it'll be easy."

"Why not Goshiki? Shouldn't you help him?"

"He didn't invite me to study with him, Satori. You're being overprotective again..." Your voice trailed off Satori barely catching the last part of what you said.

"Yeah but he's an alpha! Who knows he could just go and try to become your mate I'm worried!"

"Satori I can't mate yet! It'd just be a wasted effort. You have to be 16 and past your first heat remember. My birthday hasn't passed yet so chill out."

"Y/N, he could still try! And that would hurt you!"

"I'm not 13 anymore and I'm not scared of him, Satori!"

Your voice raised a bit, your pupils dilating. Both of you stood in silence mad at each other. The last time the two of you had an argument that didn't resolve quickly was when you first turned 13 and he had become super overprotective. You hear a low growl come from in front of you and you immediately shrink down.

The two of your stand in silence still, now you scared, of your own brother. You shake your head to both sides before pushing past him and heading towards the stairs.

"I'm leaving now. I'll be late if I don't go now."

"Y/N, you can't hide the fact you have a crush on him!"

(Ugh I'm writing like a few chapters ahead and "You know that hurts..." doesn't really fit in. So now I have to change the title of the book and the cover-)
