Well this isn't good.
I didn't prepare myself for this, I'm screwed.
"I know I'm late Miss Reese, but I kind of ran into some gothic loner on my way here." A familiar voice rose from the doorway. I turn around and what do you know?
Cheese Guy.
"Flattered." I mouthed him
The class chuckled. Of course they didn't know that he was referring to me. And now thanks to Miss Reese, I bet they're all curious as to why the new girl still didn't take off her hoodie. I just hope Cheese Guy's interruption distracted them from that.
Oh look, Locker Dude and Alicia are in my class.
And now, Cheese Guy.
Oh joy.
When Cheese Jerk seemed to notice I was there he smirked, I repeat, smirked at me.
Well then, I see the fool hasn't changed a bit.
"Mr. Wesley, since your tardiness seems... habitual. The next time your late it's detention. The same goes for you Miss Parker. Now take your seats."
Thank god she forgot about my hoodie issue.
I looked around for any empty seats. Two were left, one behind the other. They were near the window at the very end. As I was about to step closer to the one closest to the teacher, the one and only moved me out of the way and sat at my desired seat.
"Smooth move" I said, then went to sit at the desk behind him. Beside me was Locker Dude, apparently amused at the show we were giving him.
"Thanks" Cheese Guy replied, low enough for me and the people around him to hear. I have a feeling I'm going to have to tolerate him alot. Then I noticed that Alicia's desk was right next to Cheese Guy. Thank goodness he took the desk before it was too late!
She looked at Cheese Guy with a smile, "Hey baby"
You're kidding right?
Cheese Guy nodded at her.
Jerk and Queen Bee a couple? Talk about a perfect match.
She then turned towards me, "What are you looking at?!"
"You. Why, are you blind?" I replied. Remembering our 'cookie' incident.
I saw Cheese Guy turn around and look at me, amusement twinkling in his ocean grean eyes. Locker Dude gave out a small laugh, still entertained.
"Shut up, Peterson" Cheese Guy suddenly threatened Locker Dude, to which he instantly obeyed.
Wow, I seriously need to know people's names more often. And what's up with that? Why won't Locker Dude stand up for himself? Didn't he know he can get bullied easily that way? Oh no, did bullies trap him in the locker? My god! No wonder he was so mad!
Alicia's jaws clenched, she was about to form words I could tell were nasty, but was interrupted by the teacher, "Miss Rains! Miss Parker! Silence!" then her eyes averted to me, "And didn't I tell you that hoodies were against school regulations?"
Crap. She remembered. The whole class turned towards me. Great, just what I need. I need to make an excuse, and fast.
Hold on, I was late for class and the bell should ring any minute now...
LIGHTBULB! (yes people, I watched despicable me and am obsessed.)
"Oh right! Sorry! I kind of forgot! Who am I kidding? I always forget! I swear, I remember once when I was maybe fifteen or so my aunt told me to walk my little cousin to -"
"Miss Parker!" Miss Reese interrupted my blabbing.
"Yes?" I said with a weak smile.
Any minute now...
"Your hood." She stated in a monotone
Seconds..
My hands slowly reached up to my head.
Wait for it..
My index finger touched the tip of the hood.
Wait for it.
The class went silent as my fingers traced the sides of my hood...
Come on!
Then the ringing of the bell echoed throughout the building.
I grabbed my backpack and hurried out of the classroom, my hoodie intact.
Ally : 1 Ms.Reese : Owned.
Next mission: find the next class.
Trying to get through the crowded hallway, I took out my folder and snatched my schedule.
Second Period : Historical Geography
Ugh. Geography was easy, it's all the memorizing that makes it so difficult. Hold on, where is this class?
Talk about Deja Vu all over again.
I saw Locker Dude walking past me, obviously keen on being so early for class, "Hey Locker Dude!" I tugged on his shirt.
"It's Sam." He said, annoyed.
"Hey Sam, can you help me? I have historical geography and have no idea where it is." I pleaded.
"No, I have gym"
Wow. Harsh.
"Please? You owe me." I said, remembering how we first met.
"How so?" He asked, interested and irritated all in one.
"Well, I just saved your butt at the locker. And besides, isn't that what friends do for each other?"
"Who said we were friends in the first place?" He snorted, annoyed once again.
Well, I kind of figured the whole bullying part on my own. So I understood why he treated me the way he did when I got him out of the locker, of course he'd be mad! Who wouldn't? So why not be friends? He was a jerk for a reason.
"Why are you so persistent on being so friendless?" He could at least give me a chance.
"They're way too clingy." He replied casually.
WHAT? I'm so not clingy!
"I am so not clingy! And friends are there for you when you need them." I voiced my thoughts.
"Clingy."
"Not."
"Clingy."
"Not."
"Clingy!"
"Not! Ugh forget it! I'm just going to find this class on my own!"
"Goodluck." He grunted.
Outraged, I walked away from him.
Fine! He wants to be friendless? Then let him be! The bell went off, signaling the beginning of the second period. Great. Two tardies in one day, just what I need.
Then I heard the banging of lockers, I turned around to see Cheese Guy and two other boys holding Sam up on the locker by the collar of his shirt.
"What's wrong Peterson? Cat caught your tongue?" laughed one of the guys. He had blonde hair and pale blue eyes, his muscular body against Sam's, threatening him.
Oh.
No.
He.
Didn't.
No one messes with my friends!
