Ariella says our cat looks like a live anime kitty with her big eyes that could get you to do just about anything. Sunshine warms her spot on the desk, and she's in her element of being adorable and lazy.

As I scratch under her chin with my left hand, I double-click on an icon on my desktop with my right. It's a lazy Saturday, and Sierra has been running errands all afternoon in anticipation of the wedding in three weeks.

She didn't want to bore me while she ran around with Nat, my mom, and Ari, and I have to admit I was relieved. But I played guitar for half an hour, did a Sudoku puzzle, and cleaned the kitchen, and I just don't feel like leaving the house. So, I typed up something mindless for an intake at work and called Amir after reading his e-mail.

Moira's ears perk at the sound of the front door shutting, and keys jangling. She abandons her cuddle spot on my desk and scampers to greet her favorite person. "Ohhh, hi, baby! How's my sweet kitty girl?"

I snort as she continues her baby-talk to the cat, then she calls my name. I clear my throat. "Office!"

Typing on her phone, she breezes into the room and slips it in her back pocket. Fixing me with her a withering stare, arms akimbo, she pauses next to the side of my desk. "You're in enormous trouble!"

Grinning, I release the mouse and scoot my chair back to accept my fate. "Hi, Sunshine," I say, admiring her look. A long, flowy black dress with tiny white polka dots boasts a slit in the front to show off her legs. She's wearing contacts and a cute smile. "What's up, beautiful?"

Talk about a distraction. She plants herself on the desk in front of me, crossing her ankles, and I run my hands up her bare legs before shifting forward to peel back her dress and place my mouth on her thigh.

"Nicholas!"

"Yes?" I ask, dragging kisses up to her hip under the dress. "You wanted to sit on my desk, right?"

"Yeah, to get your attention because I need to remind you—"

"Next, you can sit on my—"

"You didn't get your suit!"

Wincing, I slap my forehead and angle back. "I'm sorry! You're right; it slipped my mind."

She wriggles to the edge of the desk, spreading her thighs apart to place a foot on either side of mine on the chair. "Cancel any plans for tonight."

"Fuck. Yes." I grip her calves in my hands and slide her dress out of the way. "I'm demanding you make good on that surprise."

"No," she scolds me with a breathy moan as I press her knees apart, ready to jam my face between her thighs. "We have an errand to run!"
