(No one's POV)
"That is it for this witness", Mick said, turning from Louis Roulet and went to sit down.
It was Milton's turn now, he walked in front of the witness box and stood in front of Louis Roulet.
"Mr. Roulet, have you ever had any run ins with the law" Milton started. "Any parking tickets, perhaps", Milton picked, even more.
"Maybe I have a couple", Louis said, shrugging.
"Who paid them for you. Did you yourself or did someone else do them for you"?
"Someone else did", Louis answered the question. He didn't really think the question was relevant, and was waiting for Mick to object. But, when he was silent he went ahead to answering.
"So... you think that you are above the law"?
"No. I don't", Louis started, but Milton didn't let him finish.
"But, you might be since you won't pay any of your parking tickets. Maybe, it has something to do with you financial standing", Milton said.
Milton and Louis just stood and stared at each other.
"No more further questions", Milton said turning around and walking back to the prosecution table.
*After court is over for the day*
Louis and Mick met into the hallway.
"What was that Mick? Why didn't you object"? Louis hissed at him.
Mick just stared at him and said, "All of those questions were in the scope of the case. You are a rich person, and they are trying to paint the picture of you think that you are above it. Now you tell me about those parking tickets and any other thing that you might have forgot to tell me about".
