I sniffled, wiping my eyes to stare clearly up at the woman in front of me.
Her grey hair was swept back into a bun, not a single hair out of place. Her long, black dress spoke of a funeral, but her smile brought you to a serene meadow.
However, she seemed to be waiting for a response, so I couldn't revel in her looks for long.
"How," I cleared my throat, "How can you do that?"
She held out a gloved hand, "I can take you away from here, and take care of you for the rest of your life."
Without a second thought, I took her hand and stood up. Anything to leave this hellhole town!
"However,"

"You must marry my daughter." She stated calmly, smile widening in a comforting way.

Anyway basically C1 (Character1) is stuck in an unfavorable household. She's lonely and just wants out. One day, she breaks down on a sidewalk, the rest of her small town ignoring her as they passed.
An old woman comes up to her, and offers to take her away. She accepts, but is told she has to marry the woman's daughter. C1 expresses that she's a straight female, but also quickly adds that she has nothing against the LGBTQ+ community.
The woman smiles, nods, and tells C1 to give her daughter a chance. Reluctantly, she agrees.
Anyway, obviously, C1 falls for the woman's daughter.
I was also thinking like a Victorian style castle, and the woman and her daughter being like vampires or something.
