The Showcase is tomorrow. Me, Panchum and Fenniken have been working really hard to make sure that we win. Motivation matters most when it comes to these types of things so we train as hard as we can, usually Ash and his Pikachu would watch and give judgement, though since this was pretty much going to be our final rehearsal, I convinced him to wait until the Showcase. The reason being that I have a trick up my sleeve and I want it to be a surprise to him when he sees it, so that there's actually a purpose of him watching it.

Once again I'm heading on one of my walks, the final rehearsal is done, and hopefully we can succeed tomorrow. Anyway I was thinking about my life in general and how I needed to change up my style, y'know keep people on their feet. So I decided to cut my hair and redo my outfit. Hopefully it doesn't look terrible, and if I'm lucky, it might even be an improvement.

Today is the day. I Know I can win this, but first of all, I wanted to show off my new look. "So, what do you'll think?" I questioned, placing my hands on my hips. "Certainly different." I heard Bonnie say. All I saw was shock on Clemont's face, and then Ash... "You look amazing!" He boomed, gently grabbing my hand before twirling me around. "It was time for a change." I stated pushing him back playfully.

"Ladies and gentlemen I am honoured to present the Kalos Queen Rookie Class!" The host said. I was kind of nervous but I knew that I would blow them away, I'm simply superior to all these ugly women. No class.

I was last up. Up first was the themed performance, which happened to be the making of Pokipuffs, and though I was under pressure, I still was able to create them within the time limit. And thus, the judging began. They seemed to like all of mine and the opponents ones, however, they still preferred mine, so thankfully I was allowed to advance.

Up next was the Freestyle performance, which took place immediately after my first success due to my placement. Though I didn't let up, and finished my performance without issue. Though if I had to be honest, my opponents did better. When the voting was up, it showed that I was preferred by the crowd, which amazed me and in that moment, out of sheer joy, my Fenniken evolved into Braixen.

I was then awarded my first princess key. In the crowd I could see Ash cheering, which made me fluster up, thankfully no one noticed.

Today has been a good day. I guess after everything that's happened to me recently, the balance had tip eventually, broken twice in the last week.

I know that I'll have to work even harder if I want to win again. Which I do. Ash was extremely impressed by my performance and even though I was still healing from my injuries, the people probably want to see more of me.

That night I sat under a tree, when I saw Ash approach. "Hey Ash, come here and sit with me." I instructed him, patting my hand against the spot next to me, and he complied without hesitation. "What's bothering you, Serena?" I laughed, "I'm fine, don't you like the sunset?" "Of course, it's beautiful." "Yeah, it's a nice sunset Ash, but I've always, wondered, what scares you? Sure you're quite reckless, but I just want to know what would terrify you..." I state curious. "Watching everything I care about burn, knowing that there was something I could've done to prevent it." "Yeah, I get what you mean. Even when things are tough, you keep going, I admire your perseverance." "What about you?" "Huh?" "What is that one thing that terrifies you most?" "Death, I am terrified of the idea that one day you'll rot in the ground for eternity, it just seems like there should be more." He then wraps his arm around me, as I slowly fall asleep.
