As I opened my eyes, I saw a deliciously cooked meal to my side and Ash pouring some coffee into two cups, before placing one into my hand, trusting that I was awake. "Mmm... This looks so delicious and it smells great too!" "Coffee is exactly how you like it, no sugar." He commented, kissing my forehead. "You're so sweet." I state, sipping the coffee, whilst simultaneously trying to eat the steamed rice. At that moment, Ash grabbed the chopsticks out of my hands, whilst slowly pouring the coffee into my mouth, ten minutes later, my bowl was empty and so was the cup. And this was just the first of many considerate things he would do today.
At eleven am he came up to me, from behind, handing me a bouquet of roses. At twelve, he cuddled me for an entire hour. At one, he cooked with me. All the way up until seven pm, each romantic gesture better than the last. At eight pm he took me outside before resting under a tree.
"Ash... How are you?" I asked him, sitting down at his side. "I'm feeling great. I wanted to talk, Serena." "Is it something I should be concerned about?" I asked, squeezing his wrist. "You're always so paranoid Serena, it's nothing that should worry you. Though I do want you to have this." He states wrapping a silver bracelet, with a ruby in the centre, around my wrist.
"It's so beautiful!" I boomed, wrapping my arms around him, feeling his arms around me. "I'm glad you like it." He states, leaning in for a kiss. "Of course, it looks really pretty." "Like you." I decided to kiss him again, and the blush that appeared on his face was as red as a tomato. So cute...
"Serena, do you believe in the afterlife?" Ash asked, staring into my eyes. "Why'd you ask?" "You said before that you was scared of dying because you didn't like the thought of rotting in the ground forever, but I wanted to know if you believed in life after death." "I guess not. Because it sounds unrealistic to be in another plain of existence. Now I do believe in ressurections, such as the dead coming back to life, but your soul passing on sounds illogical to me." "You're very interesting, Serena. I honestly don't know, but the fact that you are confident in your answer, even though the opposite may be better for you in the long term, is mesmerizing, admirable." Ash stated, as we watched the moon and the stars. "Do you like the stars?" He continues. "Yeah, they remind me that even when you fail, you can try again. That you'll always shine bright, I find it comforting. You?" "Yeah, they are beautiful." He replied, kissing my neck, before cuddling me up in his arms. It felt as if I was in a duvet of clouds. "Ash..." I muttered nervously, a bright red blush consuming my cheeks. "Yes Serena." "Thank you for today, you've been amazing and I know I can get mad sometimes, but I'm glad that you can keep me levelheaded." "Goodnight Serena." "'night, Ashy." I stated, yawning, before falling asleep in his arms.
