Bad Timing

Chapter 5

Tzuyu was a simple girl.She went to school in the morning and then to a dance academy in theafternoon, where his older brother picked her up to go home. Her dadwas rarely at home and when he did, he acted indiferent towards herand angry towards her brother Chaeyoung. She didn't understand whyher dad treated him like that but she never asked as she was afraidshe would make him mad at her too. She didn't have many friendsbesides Elkie, who she met during a ballet lesson, and Dahyun, whowas Chaeyoung's best friend.

Yeah, Tzuyu had a simplelife and she just needed to be grateful.

Her mother had died yearsago when she was still an elementary school student and she had fondmemories of them together. The times she recalled her the most waswhen dancing at the academy, as her mother was a former ballerina.Tzuyu had some trouble dancing as she was taller than most of thestudents, even the male ones. Chaeyoung always cheer her up sayinghow much she had improved trough the years and Tzuyu believed it whenher teacher, miss Myoui complimented her as well.

During the weekends,Tzuyu hung out with Dahyun as lately her brother was bussy. Shefigured it was because he had been working diligently on his artwork.Tzuyu herself wasn't artistic and her love to dance was notcomparable to the capacities of her brother. She had been on hisstudio and everytime she was more than impressed seeing him work.Tzuyu was very proud of him and she wished their fater realized howtalented he was.

At the moment, she andDahyun were having brunch in the terrace of a well known restaurant.She was customed to eat at fancy places as her dad always told herto. She wasn't really invested in those kind of stuff but sheobliged. She looked at her companion and couldn't help but blush.Dahyun was a very handsome man and also very proper. He acted as anolder brother to her and always heard her complains. He gave heradvice and help her to cheer up when sad, showing his goofy nature.Tzuyu admired him too as he was a hardworking man who was kind withothers. He was older than her but age gap was normal among lovers,wasn't it?

Their little date wasinterrupted suddenly by a phone call. Dahyun apologized promptly ashe had to attend the call. Not long after he came back and told herhe needed to head to the comany as they needed his advice. They allnormally rested on weekends but as they were managing a huge projectthe leaders of each section had to keep working all week until theyfinished it. Tzuyu was visibly sad and Dahyun knew Chaeyoungbussiness wasn't going to end soon. Leaving Tzuyu alone athome sounded terrible as well so he decided to take her with him tohis job.

Tzuyu had never being inthere before but she knew Dahyun was basically the boss as his dadran the company. Dahyun let her use his office until he finished themeeting, reassuring they would continue their evening after it. Tzuyuwaited him while daydreaming about the rest of the day. Would Dahyunever notice her feelings? Tzuyu was naturally pretty but when goingout with him, she wore make-up and used clothes that fit her nicely.Dahyun always called her beautiful and cute and Chaeyoung used toteased them both. That was a good signal, wasn't it? Tzuyu knew herbrother was aware about her feelings towards the pale man but thelatter was apparentely clueless. The sweet gestures of the older manconfused her inexperted heart and made her crazy.

Hours later, Tzuyu wastired and fed up of waiting. She knew bussiness meetings were longand boring and even if she really wanted to go out with Dahyun, shewas still a teen who was impatient. Tzuyu went off the office just tolook around and keep herself awake. She didn't imagine she wouldfound out Dahyun around the corner, laughing happily with an unknownwoman.

Tzuyu felt jealousybulding inside her heart. She had never seen Dahyun with a womanbefore and suddenly she realized he probably was dating already. Thewoman besides him was very pretty, with big brown eyes and shortsilky hair above her shoulders. Dahyun seemed comfortable enough tojoke around with her so they probably were close. Tzuyu felt out ofplace, affronting the fact she was still a kid and was just hangingaround with a friend, not in a date. She didn't have rights on Dahyunbut she didn't want to give up just yet.

Ah, Tzuyu -Dahyun called her name – I was already going to you but I needed to finish this conversation first. This is Jihyo-ssi, our awesome desing team leader- Dahyun said while pointing to Jihyo

Hi, there -Jihyo bowed- Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you too – Tzuyu replied the gesture – I'm Chou Tzuyu

You are very pretty, Tzuyu-ssi -smiled Jihyo kindly – I didn't know Dahyun had such a cute little girlfriend

Both Dahyun and Tzuyublushed at the comment and soon enough Dahyun explained thesituation. Jihyo knew they weren't a couple but after some monthsworking together, she found out Dahyun was a big dork and she lovedto tease him. Sure, he was her boss but still, he was younger andeasygoing so they ended befriending each other. Tzuyu excused herselfand went to the bathroom to calm herself down. She was so happyhearing Jihyo tell that she couldn't stop smiling.

When she went out therestroom she couldn't find Dahyun so she figured he was in hisoffice. While going there she bumped into a tall an slender man. Hesmiled gently at her and Tzuyu blushed shyly as he was very handsome.Besides Dahyun, she had never felt that way with any other man. Thetall man promptly apologized even when was Tzuyu's fault. Sanaintroduced himself to the young woman and helped her found Dahyun,who still was talking with Jihyo. Tzuyu forgot to check her cellphoneand read the message her oppa sent her, telling he was at Jihyo'soffice. All the while, Sana charmingly explain her about theirsurroundings. Tzuyu heard attentive to all the details and noddedeverytime Sana asked her something. Dahyun look surprised how Tzuyuwasn't alone and frown at the sight. Dahyun thanked him for takingcare of Tzuyu and said goodbye to both Sana and Jihyo. When finallyalone, Dahyun firmly said:

Don't talk with that guy anymore, undertood?

Why not, oppa? -Tzuyu asked with an adoring gaze

He is not a good guy...

He is not?

Dahyun said nothing elsebut it made Tzuyu wonder how come Sana was a bad person when he hadtreated her so nicely before? Soon enough, the thought was dismissedas Dahyun held her hand and guided her to his car, ready to continuethe rest of the day together.
