Hannah's POV

Taehyung sat up with almost no sound. Hannah tried to follow his example, staying as quiet as possible as to not alert the rest of the group of their departure. Looking back as they left the light of the dwindling campfire, she did catch Hoseok looking at them before deliberately closing his eyes again.

Once they were a little ways away from the group, he grabbed her hand and ran with her into the shadows of the trees that lined the lot. She couldn't help herself, giggling a bit under her breath. It had been a long time since she had done something like this. It felt like college all over again.

Her eyes adjusted to the dark quickly and she was happy to see the silhouette for a picnic bench in front of them. She wouldn't have said no to rolling around in the grass but this was preferable.

Before they could reach the table, Hannah gave into her temptation. She stopped him short. Pulling his hand and as he turned back to her she planted a quick kiss on his smiling lips. Taehyung's lips were warm and he held onto her kiss, wrapping his arms around her back. She closed her eyes and they stood there kissing for what could have been hours. Exploring each other's mouths.

These first kisses were a silent conversation. She wasn't sure exactly what he was asking but the answers, in the form of the changing pressure of his hands on her back, the small fun kisses between the breathless ones, they told her yes. A definite yes. She wasn't imagining those looks over coffee. That he probably had watched until she disappeared into the treeline. He had probably dressed up for her.

But the kisses also indicated he was nervous. That he didn't think he was hot shit that could get her with just his clout. That he worried she would pull away from him. He seemed to be holding back in a way that didn't sit right with her. So as they kissed Hannah slowly pushed him in a backward walk up against the picnic table, forcing Taehyung to eventually just sit on it. His legs hanging to either side of her torso as they continued to make out.

She wanted to reassure him that he had taken her breath away earlier, when he'd helped her out of the car. But she was finding it hard to concentrate on anything except where his tongue was touching hers. The longing feeling growing in her chest. She became keenly aware of how close they were to each other.

Hannah was now breathless. When Taehyung broke away all she could do was stare at him. He didn't seem nearly as out of breath as she felt. She should probably say something, she thought as they just looked into each other's eyes. He removed one hand from her back. For a second Hannah felt an indescribable fear, only for it to be brushed away with the strand of hair he tucked tucking it behind her ear. A tingle running down her neck where his fingertips touched her skin.

Ok, so Hannah wasn't exactly starved for this sort of affection. She wasn't inexperienced or undesirable in a way that made her throw herself at anyone that showed interest. She'd had short-lived affairs, a few boyfriends and girlfriends, but most of these relationships weren't serious. Serious was something she had learned only to expect of friendships. But this preference had made things hard during COVID.

She hadn't realized how much she missed the touch of another human being. As Taehyung leaned forward, planting an exploratory kiss on her cheek and then another on her neck, she let out a little moan. She needed this. Taehyung covered her moan with his mouth again. Maybe he did too? She wondered how dating worked in the music scene. Did he get a lot of time for fun? It can't have been any easier during the pandemic for him.
