Chapter 10

When the girls got to school they were late. The crying incident had slowed them down as well as Ally being a lot slower than MJ. "Do you really think my dad's cheating" asked MJ as they silently walked to the office for late passes. "Yeah, just think about it why wouldn't he want you to hear what he's talking about if it's just work. And you and me both knows he's never really busy he never gets that many investments that's why your moms has to work at the flower shop" said Ally scientifically. "I guess your right but maybe we should wait until there is proof before we make assumptions" said MJ biting her lip. "Well then, maybe we should investigate" said Ally in a detective voice giggling. "Okay maybe you should come over tonight and we can start our investigation" said MJ. "Okay" replied Ally. Then they got there passes and ran to class they'd missed 20 minutes of first period.

After school, the girls decided to go to MJ's maybe they would start their investigation. MJ and Ally sat on the living room sofa chatting and eating an afternoon snack. Just as they were about to start their homework, there was a knock on the door. Both girls got up and opened the door. Both of their faces drooped when they saw who it was. It was Jennifer. MJ slammed the door in her face. Both girls sat back down on the sofa. The doorbell rung again, they answered and again Jennifer stood behind it. They were just about to slam it but Jennifer put her foot in the way, stopping it from closing. "I need to talk to you" she said. The girls sighed and opened the door.

There was no way of getting away from her, as much as they wanted to. "What" asked MJ. "Listen you guys were right I'm wrong I took the thing way to far, and I'm sorry so can we please be friends again" asked Jennifer. She half smiled at the girls with a sympathetic face on. The girls stared at her for a while. Ally opened her mouth about to say something but MJ cut her off before she could answer. "No" said MJ and closed the door right in Jennifer's face.

"MJ, OMG why would you do that she apologized" said Ally. "So what who cares she so lying" said MJ walking back to the sofa. "Did you see her face I can tell when people mean thing and she did and why would she make her mom drive her all the way here just to apologize" said Ally frustrated. "Her mom probably made her do it" said MJ sitting down on the sofa. "I know Jenn, I know her parents they don't make her do things she doesn't want to do" said Ally. "Well fine I guess your right about that, let's go get her" said MJ sighing.

The girls went to the door and opened it but it was too late Jennifer's mom was pulling off they ran screaming Jennifer's name but it was too late they were turning the corner they couldn't hear them. Ally sighed and her head sagged down. "Well I guess I can't make up with her now" said MJ smiling and walking back to the house. "Are you really serious right now? You now I stood up for you at Jennifer's house, but you know you're both the same, selfish, self-centered and living in the past. I'm done with the both of you goodbye MJ have nice life" said Ally walking in the house to grab her things. She picked them up and walked out the door stomping.

MJ did nothing she just watched Ally with her mouth open. "Who knew Ally had guts" thought MJ. Ally got on her bike and started pedaling away. "Forget you then" yelled MJ as Ally pedaled away.

MJ didn't care, she just didn't want to be friends with Jennifer, she didn't need her. And if Ally was going to leave her too she didn't need her either. Even though MJ didn't care she was still a bit sad. It seemed all the people in her life were leaving her. Jennifer, Ally, Jake and soon enough she knew her dad would be leaving to just like Ally's.

Chapter 11

Later that night, MJ woke up from her sleep. She was walking to the bathroom, which was down the hallway, and heard crying. She walked past her older brother Spencer's bedroom and the crying was louder so she stopped and walked in. Her brother wasn't in there. The curtain of the window blew up. She shivered as the cold air touched her bare leg. She looked out the window and saw her brother sitting on the roof. She climbed out the window and took a seat next to him. He was sniffling and looked away so she couldn't see him cry but she knew he was.
