It was the day after we arrived at Hogwarts. Last night at the Sorting ceremony, professor Dumbledore announced that the Triwizard Tournament will take place here at Hogwarts. Today, everybody was unpacking their things and putting them into wardrobes and shelves. I was in my dormitory with my friend, putting the last few clothes into place.

„How was your summer?" I asked Megan. We couldn't find seats together at Hogwarts express so we didn't catch up.

„You know, the basic. My family and I visited my relatives in France. My cousin is in her 6th year at Beauxbatons so I just hung out with her. How about you?"

I actually didn't do much all summer. Well, not anything interesting anyway.

„I was camping for few days. After that my summer was pretty boring." I mumbled.

I think she could actually feel something going on so she didn't push me. When she carefully put up her photos on the wall she turned to me.

„You know, this is the last evening we have here before school starts. Katie invited me to this party some Gryffindors are having down the lake." She paused and knowing I was going to say something, she raised her finger to stop me.

„Now, I know you don't really like to attend these kinds of things, but you have to do something different once in a while, don't you think?" she said raising her eyebrow.

I know she was right. I wasn't an out-going person. Even though this was one of her lamest arguments, after few seconds of thinking of an excuse, I sighed defeated. I already knew that I couldn't win.

„Okay, I will go with you," I said rolling my eyes. „Small party haven't hurt anybody right?"

Meg froze for a bit, surprised by her accomplishment, but quickly recovered and clapped her hands together.

„Bloody hell, I didn't even believe you would actually say yes to this!" she smiled widely, „quick, stop unpacking and tell me what do you want to wear!"

After few hours of getting ready I sat crosslegged in Hufflepuff common room waiting for Meg. I was wearing a light green dress with the little big bigger neckline as I would like. My hair was falling down to my arms. I wanted to put it in a bun but when I mentioned it to Meg she god knows why forbade me to. She said something about wearing it like that every day.... nonsense.

The common room was quite peaceful. A couple of plants were hanging from the ceiling and the last pieces of sunlight were falling through the round windows onto the sofa. Few wizards were scattered around the room, talking about their holidays.

Few minutes into the sitting in quiet, hearing the occasional creak of a floor or muffled piece of the conversation, I heard someone going down the stairs.

„Finally, what took you so long?" I turned around just to see Cedric coming down from the boy staircase. I sank a little bit more into the sofa. „Hey Cedric."

„Hi Sophia." He smiled and stopped behind the sofa.

He was always friendly to me. Yeah, it's pretty strange he knows me, considering I'm not the most popular person at Hogwarts but he knows everybody in this house. Well, not only in this house, in this school.

His eyes landed on my dress. I noticed that he was wearing a white t-shirt and high-waisted jeans. I wasn't really used to seeing him in normal clothes.

„Heading somewhere?"

„Only if Meg decides to finally finish getting ready" I waved towards the girl's dormitories.
