The rest of the week flew by pretty quickly. Professors were already giving us homework as if we never left for the summer holidays. We were out at the lake, hanging out in the gardens or studying next to Hagrids hut whenever we got the chance. We tried to enjoy the last gleams of summer and put our shorter clothing to use before autumn has settled over the castle.

Finally, it was Friday, when I found myself in the middle of the potions class, carefully stirring the draught. George was scribbling notes beside me, occasionally throwing a glance at me. I smiled at the utensil as I kept my eyes on the potion, quietly counting the stirs.

„You should start finalizing the potions now," said Professor Snape slowly without even looking at us.

Murmur raised around the tables and Snaped just barked at us to keep quiet.

„So how are we doing over here?" George tilted his head toward me.

„I was just finishing it," I said taking out my wand to produce the final spell.

He suddenly reached, his hand lightly touching my wrist.

„Let me do it, you made almost the whole potion," he grinned, his eyes sparkled with a challenge, „if you trust that I don't mess it up that is."

I hesitated for a moment but then I motioned my hand towards the draught and stepped aside. Was it a good idea to trust him though?

He stood up and made a step closer to me. Taking out his wand he flashed me a smirk. The potion in front of him was calmly bubbling. He pointed at it and with a flick of his wrist, he said the correct spell. Draught changed the colour from dark red to sunshine yellow. I turned to him smiling proudly but when I saw his features I couldn't help but narrow my eyes in suspicion. The potion looked really good but something about his devilish smile made me think he did something. Before I could overthink it, he said:

„I dare you to drink it."

Ah. There it is. We haven't had any dares since the party. If I don't count that Snape prank they pulled me into anyway.

„Uhm... what?" I asked like an idiot, even though I knew exactly what he said.

„Drink the potion," his smile grew wider.

„We are not supposed to drink it."

„Well..." he replied shrugging, „drink it or face the consequences of the game."

„But..." I started to complain. After a second I sighed. He could as well say 'face the consequences or face the consequences' since I would either confront furious Snape or whatever the side-effects of the vow are.

The potion wasn't anything deadly. It was an elixir to induce Euphoria... if prepared correctly. We were doing it for the first time, so even though it had the correct colour I didn't know if it was a good batch. I glanced at the professor, just to see him completely ignoring the students. I took utensil from our table and scooped full ladle of the elixir. It was still warm so I blew on it and then without thinking gulped down the whole thing. George beside me chuckled surprised I actually did it. I turned to him confidently and wiped the corners of my mouth. Snape didn't notice anything, or he just didn't give it away.

„Now... I believe it's your turn to clean up?" I grinned widely when he groaned.

I started feeling it after few minutes. My vision was slowly erasing every colour except pink and I began to have the urge to start singing. Meanwhile, George cleaned everything up and was packing his stuff into the backpack.

I giggled and stuffed my belongings into the bag. I felt light as if I could float any minute. I heard a chuckle from the redhead but I ignored it. It felt so good. I should really start to sing now, I thought but was interrupted by Snape. He looked at me with his face full of disgust and I couldn't help but cackle at his face. How is he so funny? He was never this funny.
