'I just want to go to sleep...'
Then the door slams open, wonderful, middle of the goddamn night booking this better not be another-
" Excuse me human but I want a room. Preferably without windows." Said the new guest. (I still haven't looked up, I'm tired alright?)
"Of course, um, I think we still have one more dark vroom... room! I mean room not vroom" I finally look up and see a (very unamused) Medusa, "I can get you booked I just need the-" the Medusa hands me a gold helmet, "that'll work, ok I'll go grab your key and walk you down to your room."
"Thank you, human" the Medusa says.
I almost trip over myself after that.
'That's the first thank you I've actually had from a guest. Their definitely getting the good food'
I grab the key and walk around the desk, I hold out my arm for the Medusa. "I can lead you too your room now." The Medusa reaches and grabs my arm folding up their cane. I walk over to the stairs, "There's 17 stairs and then you're down four doors."
The Medusa nods as we begin the decent down the stairs.
"I hope your travels are going well, where are you heading? It's not common for someone like you to be traveling, especially through the woods. Also what is your name?" I ask as we walk.
" No-one has asked my name before..."
"Well you were human once right? Just because your a Medusa now doesn't mean that's all you are right?"
"I suppose you are correct. My name is Cerati. I'm going to meet with other some other Medusa, we're setting up another human shelter." Cerati says as we arrive at their door.
"We're here at your room. Would you like me to show you around?" I ask as I hand Cerati the key and they unlock the door.
"That will not be necessary, what is your name?" Cerati asks.
"My name is (Y/N). It's not common for guests to ask my name. You really are different from the average guest Cerati."
"Well you are human just like I was. You are the kindest human I think I have met in a long time."
"And you the kindest person I have encountered in a long time. I hope you sleep well Cerati, ring the bell on the wall if you need anything." I respond.
"I will thank you (Y/N)." Cerati waves and shuts the door and a walk but up to the desk to wait for the next guest.
'You know' I think 'sometimes the night shift isn't all bad'

I make it back to the main lobby and see something large black and, fluffy? Standing at the desk.
