He stayed silent only for only as long as it took to put on the pair of trousers his back up handed him. My gaze flitted from face to familiar face.

Brick wall one and two, that was the name I had given the two large men that had guarded my tent earlier, stood to their alphas right, big guns aimed at my freinds.

I instinctively stepped closer to my group, I knew their wasnt much point. We were out numbered and definatly out gunned.

Trisha and tabitha were stood to his right, both holding smaller hand guns, I watched tabitha hand the alpha a spare gun recalled how she was the head teacher at the school, right now she looked more like a soldier the a teacher. Darian he took his time cocking the gun and aiming at each member of my group making them squirm one by one but never pulling the trigger, then it landed on Ben.

"Trish" he stated blandly "it would appear you neglected to tell me about something very important"

I watched as Trisha looked away in shame, I also noticed she was the only one who didnt point her gun at us but kept it aimed at the floor. "Who is this boy?" He asked in a clipped tone. "And why has he laid claim to my territory?"

"Hes my nephew" she answered so quietly it was barely audible.

So she hadnt told him about Johnson's heir, she hadnt warned him there would be someone else who could take the territory. I realised I had never told Darian who Ben was either, not even when I explained to him what happened to me last time I was in this chamber.

In my haste to get the story out I merely said that some of Johnson's guys drugged me and brought me to him. Not that it was his son that did it to me.

Darians expression was a mixture of annoyance and darkness as he kept the gun trained in Ben's direction. "No matter" he said in a clipped tone "it's an easy fix" his grip tightened on the gun, Trisha physically flinched.

"No!" I demanded his attention now, I stepped infront of the weapon.

"Move Cat" his patience was wearing thin.

"You want to kill him, you kill me first" I held my head high despite the fact that I felt like I was going to hurl looking down the barrel of the gun.

He lowered the gun a moment later with a frustrated growl. "In the corner" he instructed my freinds. I breathed a sigh of relief that I had brought them at least a little more time.

Brick wall one and two Shepparded them back into the corner that we had found Grey and Howler in before.

"I underestimated you" Darian focused all of his attention on me now. I shivered as his eyes travelled the length of my body before landing on the two objects I was still clutching absently in my hands.

He held I palm out. "The knife" he simply stated. "And slowly"

I saw Tabitha reaim her weapon at me in the corner of my vision as I slowly brought the knife up and placed it hilt first in Darians palm.

He smiled as his hand wrapped around the peice. "Good girl"

My expression was one of stone as I watched him tuck his gun in his pants and nod to his people. They backed away to the side of the chamber. Tabitha didnt lower her gun but I could breath a little easier knowing she wasnt just feet away from me.

Trisha looked tiered, the confliction in her eyes was evident as she kept her eyes trained on her nephew who now along with the rest of my group was sat against the wall in the far corner with brick wall one and twos guns towards them making sure they dont try anything.

Darian moved to the alter stepping too close to me in the process and seizing my arm to pull me along with him untill we were in position.

"You know the deal" he said in an almost jaded fashion "you do as I say or I kill all of your little freinds blah blah blah"

"Let's just get this over with" I stated with venom, not giving him the satisfaction of seeing an ounce of emotion on my face. He smirked.

"No cat-" Mels protest was cut short as brick wall one hit her with the hilt of his gun. This did warrant a flinch from me as she fell back into the wall unconcious. Eric tried to move to help her but brick wall two aimed his gun directly at Eric's face which halted any attempt he could have made.

"Your hand little wolf" Darian held his empty hand out expectantly.

I started to raise my empty and but he tutted "other hand" I held out the hand still grasping the pendant, he turned it over with a harsh grip and removed the pendant.

He held my hand in place with the palm open facing up and brought the blade down on its flat surface, "this may pinch alittle" he stated as he began applying pressure. He ran the blade along my palm it more then stung as it started drawing blood but the pain didnt last ling as a sudden wave of familiar fizzing pressure began to fill my blood. The demons gift returning to me at last.

"You know what to do" he stated simply as he placed the pendant back in my hand and closed my fingers so my own blood ran over the objects surface.

I did know what to do, I don't know how I knew but I did, when the familiar buzzing in my ears started, I felt it flow. Tightening my grip so blood started to drip from my palm, I allowed the magic to flow along with it.

It was like I was watching in slow motion as the first drop of blood fell onto the dirt ground at my feet. Followed by another and another. It wasnt the sudden wave of power it had been before. It was as if it was seeping from me painfully slow. Untill the buzzing stopped, the fizzy restlessness I had come to associate with magic building in my system subsided and the room began to shake.

I had done it. And there was a part of me that was relieved. I tried to bury the swelling in my chest, the anticipation in soul, as the ground shook me violently around us.

All of Darians goons had lowered their guns now clutching the stone wall of the chamber to stop them selves from falling over. Even Darian and I had moved to the side of the alter to grip the ledge in order to stay up right.

I was watching the ground in horror. A crack was forming starting in the exact spot my blood had hit. Darian was laughing but it was barely audible over the vibrating of the room around us.

The crack spread, getting bigger as it worked it's way outwards. I worried the it would spread to all four corners of the room and wed all fall through as the ground began to give way at its centre. Collapsing in.

My heart hammered in my chest, I couldnt deny the anticipation building in my chest but I fort it with every logical, sain part of my being.

When as suddenly as it had start the shaking stopped.

Silence consumed the chamber. We all stood up straight now, every eye rested on the broken ground before us.

Had it not worked?

There was the sound of falling stones. They echoed around the chamber as the room settled again after it settled from the quake.

I jumped back in shock when the cracked floor exploded outwards, heavy rock pieces narrowly missed my legs as they smashed against the side of the alter.

My heart stopped, my stomach curned. Emerging from the newly created hole was the tall broad torso of the night demon.

His face scanned the room untill those golden eyes landed on my shaking figure staring up at him now wide eyes. He smiled.

"There you are little wolf"
