Month 2:
Here I stood at Logan Parker’s, the world’s most perfect boyfriend, door. Lilly had been bugging me for the past two weeks to tell him. Finally, I’d caved and decided it was fair that he knew too. Millions of thoughts raced through my brain. But I took a deep breath and placed one hand on my stomach, and another on the door.
Alexis, Logan’s little sister, opened the door up.
“Hey, Alexis, is Logan here?”
“Upstairs,” Alexis replied, motioning me inside.
I took a deep breath and made my way up the spiraling staircase. I knocked at the door, startling Logan who was playing some video game I didn’t remember the name of.
“Hey baby! Why didn’t you text me you were coming?” Logan asked pulling me close to him. I backed away, trying to stay calm.
“Logan, we need to talk.”
“Ok… what wrong.”
“I’m pregnant.” I said bluntly, no use in drawing it out.
“WHAT!” he yelled. “Oh God! How could this happen? We were safe!”
“I don’t know but that’s behind us now, who cares what happened. The fact is that im pregnant, you’re the father and in 9 months we’re going to be parents.” That shut him up pretty quickly.
“Who else knows?” He asked.
“Lilly, she’s the one who made take the test 2 weeks ago.” He drew in a breath before responding.
“How are we going to tell your parents, or my parents for the matter?”
“Well, let’s just go over to my house and say it. Both of my parents are home, we’ll start with them.”
The car ride was painfully long before we reached the door, time to do the hardest thing I’d ever had to do in my whole entire 15 years of life.
I pushed my long blonde hair out of my face as I opened up the door.
“Mom! Daddy?” I yelled
“Yes?” my dad answered.
“Can you come here?”
Within seconds my parents were down in our kitchen, anxious to know what I had to say. Little did they know that they were about to get the biggest shock of their life.
“I’m pregnant. I’m sorry!” I blurted out. They had roughly the same reaction as Lilly, speechless, shock and well, anger.
“Are you serious.” My dad asked.
“Yes,” I said with tears in my eyes, as I pulled the pregnancy test out of my purse.
“Damn it, Kayla! How could you be so damn irresponsible?” He cursed. “And you-“ he said pointing at Logan, “you’re the father.”
“Yes, sir.” Logan answered calmly. My mom was just crying she hadn’t said anything yet.
“YOU ARE FIFTEEN KAYLA! FIFTEEN!” my dad yelled. “How the hell are you going to take care of a baby?” With that my dad stormed out, leaving my mother just standing there. She just looked at me for a while before finally saying something.
