I hung out with Leo and Will the rest of the day, kicking around a soccer ball and playing a lowkey game with a few other guys who joined us later on. Liam was still in their cabin, nursing a pretty nasty hangover. Eli was hanging out with us, attempting to keep up. I couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't with Hal, hiking or smoking or hitting on some girl.
We all headed back to Leo's cabin after dinner to hang out, without drinks as Will insisted. He wasn't in the mood to babysit us again tonight, to which we all agreed. We were just talking and hanging out when I heard a knock on the door and a pretty blonde peeked her head through the door.
"Hey guys." she greeted, Leo smiling widely at her.
"Hey, Lina. What's up?" he asked.
"We're having some people over at ours and I was wondering you guys would like to join?" she asked. Will groaned, rolling his head backward. I chuckled and looked over at her.
"Do you guys have drinks?" she smiled and shook her head.
"No, we left that to Leo." she laughed, earning a chuckle from me and Will and an eye roll from Leo.
"Sounds cool. We'll be over in a few." Eli chimed in, making Lina nod before walking out the door.
"Isn't it the nice thing to do? They invited us over." Leo whined as Will tried to convince him bringing an entire bottle of vodka was not the move tonight.
"Just leave it for another night, man. Let's go." I said, clapping him on the shoulder and pushing him towards the door and away from Will, who let out a breath of relief from dodging babysitting duty again.
We heard the cabin before we saw it. It was nestled among some trees, a little farther away from the other cabins in the area. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a few other soccer players, who we immediately gravitated towards.
"I'm gonna go talk to Lina." Leo said, smiling and looking over at him. I smirked and nodded.
"Go get her." I encouraged, he gave me a thumbs up before walking over to her and striking up a conversation. I joined Will, Liam and Eli who had joined a circle of people playing Cards Against Humanity. "Room for one more?" I asked as I sat down. Kelly looked at from me across the circle, smiling and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Sure. Let us finish this round." she responded, placing a card down in the middle.
The game had gotten loud and rowdy, Will and I laughing hysterically at a card Liam had put down. Nearly everyone was playing, and those who weren't were watching, laughing along with us.
"Okay, okay, this one clearly goes to Liam." Lina said, handing him the card as he triumphantly yelled to claim his victory. I felt a nudge on my arm, looking over to see Will.
"I'm gonna go outside, get some air if you know what I mean." he smirked. I chuckled and nodded.
"I'll come with." I said, standing up and walking outside with him and a few others. Eli was already out there with a couple other people, passing a lit joint between them.
"Look who's decided to join the party!" he exclaimed, blowing smoke out into the cool night air. I took the joint from his hand and deeply inhaled, feeling the smoke fill my lungs and my thoughts begin to calm. I passed it off to Will who took a hit before passing it back to Eli. Will was talking to the girl next to him and I was sitting next to Eli, continuing to pass the blunt around.
"Can I ask you a question?" I asked, passing it to him as I blew smoke out of my mouth.
"Shoot." he nodded, taking a hit.
"Why do you hang out with Hal?" I asked, anger laced in my voice at the mention of him. Eli let out a light laugh and shrugged.
"He's a pretty good dude once you get to know him." I scrunched up my nose in protest.
"I find that doubtful. He's an ass." I answered, making Eli laugh.
"You know," he took another deep inhale. "You're the only one that makes him angry." he said thoughtfully, looking over at me. I raised an eyebrow at him, questioning his statement. "He doesn't really hate anyone, he's mostly indifferent. But you, he hates you." he smirked, handing me the blunt.
"Yeah well, the feeling is mutual." I murmured, taking a long drag, feeling my mind continue to slow and my body getting warmer. Eli chuckled and took it from my hand, stomping it out.
"We're heading out." Liam said. I nodded and stood up.
"You coming?" I asked Eli. He shook his head.
"Nah. I'm gonna hang here a little longer." he answered, leaning back on his elbows on the steps. I nodded and joined Liam and Will.
"No Leo?" Liam smirked and shook his head, a glint in his eyes.
"Leo's got a girl to entertain." he said, making me chuckle and shake my head.
"Can I stay with you guys tonight?" I asked, looking over at Will.
"I'm not sleeping on the floor again." Will grimaced.
"I'll sleep on the floor." I offered. Will shook his head.
"No, you need to go back to your own cabin. You're a fire hazard." he said.
"A fire hazard?" I laughed. Will nodded at me.
"Yes. Go." he said, pointing in the direction of my cabin as him and Liam stopped at the front steps of theirs. I loudly groaned and dragged my feet as I headed down the trail, hearing Will and Liam laughing as I did.
As I approached the cabin I could hear something coming from inside. I wasn't sure what it was, but it sounded like heavy breathing of some sort. I stomped up the stairs and opened the door just as I heard a loud moan coming from inside.
"What the fuck?" a girl cried, throwing herself under the covers.
"Uh-" I started, unsure what to do.
"What are you doing here, Andy." Hal gritted out, clearly in the middle of something.
"Just wanted to go to sleep. But I can see you're busy." I said, looking over at the brunette who was shooting daggers at me.
"I suggest you find somewhere else to go tonight." Hal said.
"But I-"
"Now." Hal demanded. I loudly sighed and slammed the door shut, making my way back towards cabin 15. I knocked on their door, hoping one of them was still awake.
"I told you to go back to your cabin, Andy." Will sighed.
"Can't. It's occupied." I answered, shooting him a look. His eyes widened and he opened the door, letting me in.
"Well, then I guess you're getting the floor tonight."
