The sun was setting when we finally made it to the beach. After some scouring, we were able to find an area that had some sand so we wouldn't be running on rocks. Lucas and I were kicking the ball between us when I noticed Hal and Eli walk towards us. Hal's deep chuckle floated through the air, while Eli's hands waved around as he told a story. My stomach fluttered seeing Hal and the ball Lucas had just kicked in my direction rolled into the water.
"Come on, dude!" Lucas laughed. I just shook my head and jogged over to get it, throwing the now wet ball at him.
"You guys want to play?" Will asked Eli and Hal.
"No, just here to hang out." Eli answered. Hal's eyes met mine as he smirked.
"Cool, then let's start!" Will exclaimed. Lucas, Will and I were on a team and Leo, Liam and Mason were on the other. The game quickly diverged from an actual game, to seeing who could kick the ball the farthest into the water after Leo had kicked it a few feet into the water off the shoreline.
"Look at that! I think I've won, boys." Lucas said cockily, a lopsided smile on his face as he looked out at the ball he'd just kicked at least 10 feet off the shoreline.
"No way, I can do better!" Leo argued, wading into the water to grab the ball. He brought it back to the shore and gave it a solid kick, seeing it fall just slightly short of where it had previously landed with Lucas' kick. Leo groaned and threw his head back as Lucas shouted claiming victory.
"Now hold on a second, I haven't gotten to try yet." I said, walking into the water to grab the ball. "Watch and learn." I said, smirking. I set the ball down and wound up, kicking the ball as hard as I could. It easily went past Lucas' distance and sat about 25 feet away from the shoreline.
"No way!" Lucas groaned. I chuckled at him.
"You should probably stop before I beat you guys even more." I taunted, earning eye rolls from almost all of them.
"Whatever. I'm tired, I'm heading back." Mason grumbled. Lucas nodded and they walked off to their cabin.
"I guess I'll get the ball." Leo sighed, swimming out to grab it. I met Hal's eye and saw him ever so slightly nod his head in the direction of the cabins. I gave him a small nod in return, turning back to my friends.
"I'm gonna head out too." I said, clapping Will and Liam on the shoulder as Leo hauled back to the shore.
"You're going too?" he huffed, out of breath from his swim. I nodded in response. "Okay. We might as well all go then. Eli, Hal! You guys good to go?" Leo called towards them. They both nodded and made their way towards us. We all walked as a loud, rambunctious group back to the cabins.
"Don't kill each other!" Leo called from the porch of their cabin as Hal and I continued walking. I chuckled and waved at him before turning to look at Hal, seeing he had a smirk on his face too. Leo had no idea how wrong he was. I pushed the door open and walked into the dark room. Not even a step in and Hal pinned me up against the door, his mouth on mine.
I sighed against his lips and happily returned the kiss. I let my hands trail down his chest, over his hard stomach and touched the cool skin of his hips. I let my fingers slowly creep up his shirt, pausing for a moment to make sure Hal was okay with it. When he started kissing me harder, I took that as a sign to continue. I slipped my hands under his shirt, feeling his warm skin against my fingers, his heart racing under my touch. He pulled away just enough so I could pull his shirt up and over his head, throwing it to the side. I ran my fingers through his hair, tugging and pulling at the dark brown strands to pull him closer to me.
Hal played with the hem of my shirt, slowly pulling it up. I bit my lip and let out a deep sigh as he kissed up my chest on the skin he was exposing. I lifted my arms and let him pull the shirt off while he continued to press light kisses on my collarbone and neck. When his eyes finally met mine, his lips hovered over mine, I smirked and ducked out of his grasp.
"What?" Hal exclaimed, shocked.
"I'm going to take a shower." I announced, looking back to see Hal looking at me with an eyebrow raised. "And I'd rather not go alone." I smirked, turning around and walking into the bathroom after I saw the dumbfounded look on his face. I discarded the rest of my clothes before jumping into the shower, letting the water warm up before stepping under the steaming stream. The sound of the water pounding on the floor was the only thing I heard. I felt my stomach drop. Oh shit, I might've taken it too far too early. Embarrassed, I turned towards the wall, my forehead dropping onto the stone side of the shower as I let out a low groan.
I suddenly felt arms snake around my waist, a firm chest pressed against my back.
"You didn't think I'd miss out on this, did you?" Hal whispered in my ear. I turned around in his arms, seeing his eyes gleaming, water dripping down his face. I instinctively grabbed his waist, kissing him hard as the hot water hit both of us. Hal's hands roamed and explored my body, making me inhale sharply as his fingers trailed down the curve of my neck. "There's not nearly enough color here." Hal muttered. All I could do was nod in response, my ability to speak gone with his hands on me. He lowered his lips to my collarbone sucking and kissing. I gripped his sides hard, my breathing erratic as I tried to keep from collapsing onto the floor with his warm breath washing over my neck.
"God, Hal." I moaned into his ear, making him suck even harder before looking up at me and nearly devouring me with a kiss. He tangled his fingers in my hair while I continued to grip onto his hips as if my life depended on it. He tugged my head back just slightly, smiling down at me as I leaned forward and connected our lips again in a sloppy and desperate kiss.
I pushed on Hal's chest, pressing him against the cool stone wall, his eyes not leaving mine. I leaned in, our lips nearly touching. I bit my lip and ran my hands over his stomach, feeling his abs ripple beneath my fingers.
"What are you waiting for." Hal breathed, impatient.
"What are you waiting for?" I retorted, my lips quirking up as I leaned a little closer to him.
"For you to fucking kiss me, Ander." he growled. The way he said that stupid fucking nickname and the desperation in his voice pushed me over the edge and I crashed our lips together. Hal moaned, appreciative for the contact and grabbed my hips, pulling me closer and closer to him. I tangled my fingers in his hair, feeling his soft, wet hair tangle in my fingers. I slowly pulled away, both of us gasping for breath and lost in one another's gaze as the water continued to stream down onto us.
