Caroline's POV
I woke up, and put on my jeans, my black top, with my black heels. I went downstairs, and Esther was in the courtyard with a dozen witches. I said, " Good Morning."

Esther smiled, and said, " Good Morning. Witches this is Caroline."

They nodded, and looked at me. The one witch said, " Is she the Vampiric witch?"

  I said, " I am. Why?"

She said, " It's just, we heard so much about you. It's an honor to meet you."

I nodded. Esther said, " Alright. Caroline, we are going to need your help for tonight."

I said, " What do you need?"

She said, " We need witches brew, vervain, green root, and vol flower."

The one witch said, " Where could the vol flower be? We never seen it before in New Orleans."

I said, " What does it look like?"

He said, " It's purple, with a pink stem."

I said, " I think I seen that before. At the plantation house. If everything is the same, it should be there. I can go get it. Anything else you need from the garden?"

Esther said, " The junsen root, and the flower, you can get Caroline. The other two, we can get."

I nodded, and sped to the plantation house. I went to the garden, and got the root. I looked for the flower. It took me ten minutes, but I finally found it. It was towards the back of the garden.

I sped back to the compound, and helped Esther and the witches set up the spell.

  Nik's POV
I couldn't sleep last night, again. I stayed up painting. I stopped painting, for right now, and went to my room. I put on my burgundy Henley with my black pants, and boots. I went downstairs to the kitchen, and drank a blood bag.

Elijah came into the kitchen, and said, " Good Morning, Niklaus."

I said, " Morning, Brother. Anything else in the city that got messed up, while I was not in charge?"

Elijah said, " Nothing. The witches are quiet, and are still working with Kol, and Davina on getting Caroline back. It seems there is no way of bringing her back."

I nodded, and walked out of the kitchen, and to the courtyard. Kol was walking down the stairs, and said, " Nik! I'm surprised to see you out here."

I said, " Rebekah does have a way of getting me to do something. Where are you off to, Kol?"

He said, " Davina, and I were going to take a walk around the city. What are you doing today?"

I said, " I was hoping we could go out for drinks, tonight. Just you and I. Like old times."

Kol smiled and said, " Old times included blood, and girls. Sadly, girls can't be included in tonight."

  I said, " I know. Just drinks."

Kol said, " Alright. One condition. No moping around, or being depressed."

  I said, " I know."

Kol nodded, and Davina came to Kol's side. They walked out of the house. Rebekah came out from the hallway, and I said, " Rebekah. Are you and Stefan planning your wedding, yet?"

Rebekah said, " Not yet. The planning sort of got halted by Caroline's death. We didn't exactly plan anything, yet."

I said, " We should have one happy thing. So, Stefan and you better get to planning."

Rebekah raised her eyebrow, and said, " Are you alright, Nik?"

  I said, " I'm fine. Why?"

She said, " No reason. Just wondering."

She walked off to find Stefan. I went upstairs to my studio. I got a new canvas, and started painting. I still can't get Caroline out of my head. I miss her, so much. I have to try and be what she would've wanted me to be.

  Caroline's POV
Five hours later, We got everything set up, and the full moon is about to rise in five minutes. Esther said, " Caroline. You are going to need to lay down in the circle. You are going to need to drink this elixir. Then the witches will start the spell. Got it?"

  I said, " Yes."

Esther went through the steps, real quick with the witches.

Five minutes later, the moon was up in the sky. I sat in the circle, and drank the elixir. I gave Esther the bowl back, and I laid down in the circle.

The witches started chanting, " liki moki phesmatus lividus nexus vetus hikls. liki moki phesmatus lividus nexus vetus hikls. liki moki phesmatus lividus nexus vetus hikls. liki moki phesmatus lividus nexus vetus hikls."

Their chants grew louder, and pain was rushing through my body. After a few minutes of pain, it soon went black.

After what felt like forever, I gasped for air and opened my eyes.
