I hear my moms voice from so far, i swim behind a rock and watch as my mom was netted and pulled out of the water " SWIM BABY" she yelled before she was completely on top, i started crying as i noticed these hunters or fishers the humans call it are really trying to kill my species. i was sobbing until i heard heavy male laughter and a splash, i lifted from the rock and gasped when i see my moms bloody body laying on a rock, i slowly swam over to her body and noticed her scales on her tail were gone. " m-mom" i say shaking her body " mommy wake up....please" i sobbed with teary eyes, i sniffed and noticed her golden shell necklace.
i slowly unclipped it and hooked it around my neck, i kissed her head whispering an ' I love you' with a sob swimming off " i will get my revenge " i said looking up at the human lands my eyes glowing a bright pink along with the little stingers on my tail

this was her mom that the hunters skinned alive, at the time Kayla was 8 years old while her mom was 234 im making you all wait to see what the daughter look like though
* 10 years later*
I've been under water for some time now plotting my revenge, just thinking about it makes my eyes and stingers glow a bright pink. I'm finally overcoming a fear my mom had, she'd come up to the surface but would never go over it because humans will try and hurt my species. i shook my head and swam up a bit watching people run and laugh, i saw this one girl walking over to set of rocks i was swimming by.
she sat down on the rock talking to someone, the convo got heated fast though "you cannot do that, that's a- you cannot tear down their home...yes but that's their land, your destroying their species i-.....you know what when they com back for your ass i ain't helping" she spoke hanging up the phone
i felt bad for her but at the same time humans are the reason my mom was killed, i slowly swam over to her she couldn't see my tail but she could see the crazy electric blue hair, webbed ears, pink eyes, and scaled patches on my skin " h-hi" i spoke swimming closer to her she looked up at me and whispered a soft ' go away' i looked up at her and down at the water " wanna see something cool" i asked her causing her to look up with her saddened white eye's " sure" she said giving me her full attention
" watch and be amazed" i said backing up with a giggle, i closed my eyes feeling them glow a bright pink under my eyelids, then i felt my tail glow a bright pink making the water in the area i was in glow the same color, i opened my eyes and made myself mad which caused my eyes to shimmer yellow as my jellyfish like tentacles zapped and striked with electricity. i calmed myself down and then it all went away, " what you think" i asked her, she smiled and said it was amazing but how did i do it
i looked around and told her follow me, she walked along the sand as i swam in the water i spotted a cave and pointed to it " i'll show you there c'mon" i said and dipped under water going to enter the cave but was stopped by a merguard " where do you think your going" he asked his voice deep " into a cave now leave me alone" i said turning around to swim off only to be yanked back in the other direction " HEY what is your problem, i'm NOT a damn kid, now let me go" i said yanking my arm out of his hand and swimming off " and how would your mother feel" he said with a smirk
