BILLIE POV

NOOOOOO

I shouted after seeing the one thing that made me happy get taken away, " MOM" I shouted " MOOM" I screamed fighting off the big dudes taking chestnut away. " LET GO" he yelled pushing me to the ground

after a while mom rushes out seeing me on the ground and a man forcing a viscous panicked horse into a carrier, she gasped " WHAT ARE YOU DOING" she shouted running to me helping me up. The man chuckled as he looked at us

" please...p-please do-nt take h-him" I sobbed looking at the panicked Arabian in the trailer, I sniffed wiping my nose " p-please I b-be-g" I said sobbing " no can do darlin" he said his thick country accent being heard " c-can i at l-lea-st get a good b-bye" I said between every hiccup

He nodded his head watching as I slowly walked up to the horse hugging him tightly, " I l-love you Chestnut" I smiled softly thinking about what I really came to do " be free buddy, I'll see you soon". I grabbed the latch of the trailer stall he was in and forcefully pushed it down.

I ran out the trailer making a whistle noise from my fingers causing him to come zooming out of the trailer, I smiled wide watching him run off into the field that's across the dirt road. " I'll see you soon buddy" I whispered as I watched him turn and reared neighing loudly into the golden pink sky

" MY HORSE...you little BITCH" " woah now we're not calling anyone names ESPECIALLY MY DAUGHTER" mom and the random guy argued, " excuse me sir it wasn't your horse he was my horse and forever will be now I suggest you leave before we call my uncle" I glared picking up a sharpened stick Looking him directly in the eye

He looked at me and grunted " and what's your uncle gonna do" he said smirking " well I'm pretty sure he has a lawyer who is able to get you arrested for horse theft or well attempted horse theft" I smirked once his face dropped. The guy got in his truck with a huff and drove off, I looked at mom seeing she was already staring at me

" what" I asked looking up at her " didn't know my daughter had that in her, but like what about chestnut" she said looking back out at the field " I'll see him again" I said softly looking at the fields as well

* 8 YEARS LATER*

RING RING

I was woken up by the sound of my alarm causing me to smack it shutting it up, swinging my feet out the bed I yawned. My mind suddenly wondered to the brown Arabian that I haven't seen in so long, I sighed knowing he's never coming back

I got out of bed going towards my bathroom starting the shower

I walked back to my room waiting for the water to warm up, I gathered my clothes from the drawer not forgetting my deodorant and socks. After I sat my clothes down I took off the ones I had on and entered the shower

AFTER SHOWER

I am now fully clothed spritzing my vanilla scented perfume all over me and putting my blonde into brown hair in a ponytail ( you should already know what hair I'm talking about) I walked out of the bathroom going to my shoe rack picking up my ' Under Armour X ASAP Rocky SRLo Sneakers' and putting them on

Grabbing my phone I went down the stairs, I sighed not seeing my mom in the living room. Mom died a year after I released chestnut from the trailer, sighing I walked to the kitchen opening the fridge grabbing the milk also making my way to the cabinet grabbing the fruit loops.

I poured my cereal into a glass bowl pouring the milk on top, closing everything and putting it back. I grabbed a spoon and started eating while scrolling through TikTok, I looked down noticing I finished all of my breakfast sitting the bowl in the sink I'll wash it later.

Walking out of the kitchen I noticed my dog standing near the barn chestnut was in, I opened the slide door walking out he looked over at me and back in the barn. " sharky come here baby" I said snapping my fingers. " whatcha looking at " I said softly, rubbing his head as he licked my face.

" come on buddy, gotta feed you then we're heading out again" I said grabbing his dog food out of the cabinet, I put a little bit in his bowl folding the bag back up. I let him eat, grabbing my phone off the counter going into the living room sitting on the couch.

After a while I stood up and went out the door watching as shark pranced behind me, " let's go on another search bud" I whispered petting his head. We walked down the path and going across the dirt road entering the field, I had chestnuts bridle in my hand so shark could get his scent off of it

" you smell em buddy" I said as shark sniffed the bridle perking up in a direction, suddenly shark took off running with a frightened look on his face. A look of confusion took over my emotion until I saw a huge shadow behind me, slowly turning I jumped back seeing a big black horse standing behind me

He looked like a Gypsy Vanner but why was he standing in a protective manner, I looked passed him seeing a whole herd with a few foals. " d-don't worry big guy" I whispered backing up but he just kept grunting at me

All of a sudden a brown flash was seen in the corner of my eye then the black horse jumped neighing in what looks like pain. He turned around seeing.....chestnut....h-he's back...." CHESTNUT" I shouted running to him and hugging him tightly " i knew we'd see each other again" I said feeling myself tear up

The big black stallion just stood there looking angry, suddenly chestnut noticed him and stood in front of me and neighed. The black stallion bagged up turning toward the direction his herd ran and ran, " c-chestnut I-I missed y-you" I sobbed in his fur

I noticed shark sniffing chestnut every once in a while, he's probably wondering who the big giant is in front of me. I wiped my face I snapped my fingers at shark " home boy" I called watching him take off towards the house. " you wanna go home big guy" I said to him in which resulted in a lip flutter

" well then let's go home" I said softly walking ahead knowing he's following me, after we made it home I decided to leave the coral open for tonight and to fill up his hay bag and water bin. I'll just start leaving the coral open so he can be free at night and with me during the day

" I'm so happy you're back"
