Chapter 4- Piper

Piper is sick of being a demigod. Her best friend, the one girl friend who finally got her boyfriend back is now in Tartarus with him! Is this how normal people live their lives? Piper doubted it. She stared at the her ceiling and sighed. Now all her friends (the ones not in Tartarus) where going back to camp to try to find peace with the Romans. And she knew she was the one up to bat. No, she's not the one battling, turning into animals, having the power to control jewels, use lightning or water or even control the dead! Shes the one with the pretty voice... Very useful. She felt so useless. Even more useless than Nico who was recovering in a guest cabin and was sleeping! At least he can tell us if Percy and Annabeth where ok. Oh Annabeth... Piper stared at the ceiling rehearsing what she would tell the Romans.

"Romans," Piper said aloud,"We come here to-" Piper heard a scream.

"What the-" Piper said running up deck.

Piper ran up to Jason who's hair was flowing in the wind. His looked to be in deep concentration.

"What was that?" I asked him.

"What was what?" he looked at me confusingly. I heard the scream again... It was Leo.

I ran up to where the scream was at leaving Jason behind. I walked in and saw Leo on the floor and Coach sitting by his side.

"Oh my gods! What happened?!" I yelled.

"I don't know! He started screaming and fell over!" honestly cupcake, I don't know," Coach Hedge told me.

I looked to down at Leo who was unconscious and very pale and said,"Do you know if he just passed out from being exhausted or-"

Coach interrupted and said,"I don't know... I ran in here in and he was screaming and holding his head...."

Jason walked in. "Pips, what's the-" he saw Leo unconscious. "What happened!l Leo! Are you ok?! Here let's get him to his room."

"What happened?" Jason said looking at me with great concern.

"I DON'T KNOW! Coach said he was screaming and collapsed... We just have to wait tell he wakes up."

So me and Jason sat there. I looked inside Leo's room and not help but to laugh at how it looked. His room as filled with mechanical things, screws, wheels and what looked to be the beginnings of that sphere he was crazy about installing to the boat. He had blueprints hanging on his walls... If this boat would burn down, Leo would cry for days. I'm not saying that Leo is obsessed with his projects, its just when he has a project to do he WILL do it and he make it work.

Leo finally stirred. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes and looked at us. He didn't smile like normal Leo... But I just assumed he was in pain so I blew it out of my mind. He stared his with unforgiving eyes... Like we killed his family and he wanted revenge.

"Leo?" I asked him.

"Umm. Yes I'm Leo." he said like he was asking us a question.

"Um, what happened? Are you ok? You passed out. Do you remember?" I told him.

"Oh, yes," he tried to smile. But that smile wasn't his... It was that smile that makes you want to cry and crawl under a table.

He said in a monotone voice,"but I am fine now, Piper and I can help steer the boat. I'm fine."

"Leo, you just woke up. It's better if just relax. Coach can do that!" I said putting charm-speak in my voice.

"You're words do not work on me, girl. Now let me be in control!" he said forcefully.

Jason said calmly," Come on man. Just relax."

"NO! You might think as yourself as a leader, but you are no leader no to me." Leo growled.

Jason stumbled back and stared at Leo in disbelief.

"I'm in charge! You maybe a son of Jupiter, but that is only what you are born from. I maybe only a son of Hephaestus but I have enough sense to know when 2 of my soldiers are falling into Tartarus. You're a horrible leader."

Leo then stormed out of the room leaving just Jason and I.

"what the heck?" Jason questioned.

"I don't know, I don't know."
