LAYING DOWN ON HER BED, SHE LET OUT AN EXHAUSTED BREATH. work had been tiring and stretching her thin, expecting perfection which she just simply can't give. it's put a stop to her control on her own life and she wanted the reins back.

"hey loser," sage popped up in the doorframe and curled her fingers around it.

"hi sage," clem lightly mumbled while lazily hanging off the side of her bed, rubbing her temples simultaneously.

"hey, what's wrong?" sage sat down next to the balled-up comforter and brushed the strings of hair out of clem's gingerly blushed face.

"nothing," she sat up and crossed her legs criss-cross applesauce, "it's just that lately, i've been feeling a bit down y'know what i mean?"

sage sat there with a studious face before what looked like a thought popped into her head,

"have you talked to katlyn lately?"

katlyn was clementine's former therapist. it was about a year ago when clem was looking for a therapist due to her deteriorating mental state, and after going through a few of them, she finally found one that clicked.

you're never gonna get an amazing therapist on the first time that you book one— a lot of the times they aren't even bad therapists, it's just they aren't the one for you. but she then found katlyn and everything was great.

and after a couple of months of astonishing sessions, clementine was able to stop them and handle her emotions on her own.

but now it's sometime later and now that sage had mentioned it, she thinks that she may need them again.

"no, i haven't talked to her in a bit. do you think that i may need to book another session?"

sage shrugged her shoulders up and down before she replied, "well, how have you been feeling lately? mental health-wise?"

clementine's feelings have been a jumble of stress and overthinking, never feeling sane in her own body. her mind always outputting random harmful thoughts, always wanting to shatter her mind and soul.

"not so good." clem muttered out whilst rubbing her hands over her face; also laying back down on her bed, resembling a stubborn child.

"well then, i think that you maybe should try and book a session with katlyn, clem," poking her side to try and get her point across.

"i think that it would help to, y'know, get your emotions in check because god knows that i can't"

"yeah, you're not wrong."
