VENGEANCE
the act of killing, injuring, or harming someone because they have harmed you.

mark sat there for a few minutes, hugging his knees close to his chest. it took him a while to calm himself after crying so hard. he was alone now. actually, really, alone.

not until he realized that someone was going to take them as human traffickers. that just didn't sit right with him. this wasn't the life he wished with his friends.

he wanted to get it back, but how?

the happiness he left, will he get it back?

ignoring the pain at his arm, he stood up and walked towards the cupboard. there, he found a shirt that he can use to wrap his wounds so the bleeding would have been stopped.

it will take him a while to let it fully heal.

after that, mark's attention turned to donghyuck who was still laying on the ground. he took another cloth as he moved towards him.

"donghyuck..." he sighed.

the wounds at his face was so painful, he couldn't even dare himself to touch it.

he wrapped donghyuck's head with the cloth, noticing that his palm was now filled with blood. its not that they have a water to wash everything.

mark sighed again, staring at his bloody hands for a while.

'think, mark.... think'

another dangerous human will come and take him, probably will hurt him more than how seoyeon did. so before it could happen, mark need to prevent that. but since donghyuck's condition was bad, he need to do it alone.

he stood up and looked around the room. this is a psycho's house, there must be something.

he went through every single corner of the room, didn't care about his bleeding hand anymore. he need to get out, he need to get donghyuck out from this shitty house.

it wasn't until he found something beside the cupboard.

a baseball bat.

mark raised his eyebrow and sighed harshly. wasn't expecting a baseball bat, though.

he moved around the room again,

and he was lucky that seoyeon left her pocket knife on the floor. he picked up the knife and put it in his pocket.

now, he have equipments to protect himself from danger.

from people.

he just need to open the locked door and leave. that's it.

he didn't know what will the world show him after he and donghyuck get out, but he need to focus on this thing first.

he tapped his chin with his bloody fingers, trying to think.

donghyuck once taught him how to unlock a door without using a key.

he did it everytime to sneak out and get some food for his friends, but mark never find it worthy to listen. and it resulted donghyuck to tell him about it every single day.

maybe he can give it a try.

taking out the pocket knife, he tried to unlock the door with it. donghyuck told him about a lot of methods, but he just remember one.

he hoped it will work.

but after 5 minutes, he was still struggling.

"come on, mark... time's ticking..." he gritted his teeth, as he tried harder and harder. but still, he couldn't do it.
