The rain fell from the sky, landing on our car lightly. I gazed through the window viewing my soon to be new home. The area was rather damp, plain, and had almost a hint of disturbance. At least that's what I felt as the car drove down Raven Crow road.
"Well, there it is" my father said as we approached the house. My gaze grew intense as I noticed the old two story house that my friends spoke of so much. Apparently they believe a man killed a woman brutally and hid her body in the hallway within the house. Can't be real. Way to crazy, even for me. As we took our luggage from the car on our way into the house, I shivered, hearing a young woman's voice saying "See me?" I quickly turned around, hearing the quiet, dead voice.
"Honey, what's wrong?" my mother asked with a raised brow.
"Nothing" I responded as I noticed to my dismay, there was no one there.
My father and mother then looked at each other, then back to me with a worried look.
"What?" I snapped.
My mother shook her head, "Don't worry about it dear. You probably just saw a squirrel or something."
I tried to believe it, but I didn't. I truly felt as though someone was there. I know what I saw! Perhaps I am going crazy. I am just scared, I suppose. I grabbed my bag and some other luggage and followed my parents into the house. It was damp looking, with old style furniture. I heard a noise. A child screaming. I looked towards where I thought the noise came from and found myself looking into a dark, narrow hallway. Just then, I knew, the nightmares had already begun.
