"tell me this is a joke! tell me it's a lie!" she screamed at her fiancé. he only looked down in guilt with a frown in his face. she froze knowing the answer, a shaky breath coming out.
she slowly walked up to him. "are you fucking kidding me harry!" edith pushed him. he stumbled back meeting her eyes full of tears. "she didn't mean anything! i love you, not her! you know that!" he said. "you expect to forgive you? after what you've done! you ruined us!" that's what got him to make tears fall out of his eyes. he ruined them.
"you- we had that fight! that stupid fight which you started. i was mad and upset, i wasn't thinking straight. please forgive me, it meant nothing. i want you!" he tried to explain himself, putting his hands on her wet face. she pushed them off. "nothing? nothing! she's fucking pregnant with your baby. do you expect to forgive you? i found out today, everyone fucking did! through the fucking internet. were you even going to tell me?" she whispered the last question.
"please it was just a mistake! i was drunk and after that stupid fight. i needed to distract myself, please edith." he sounded so desperate. she was quietly staring at him. "you're such an arrogant son of a bitch!" she yelled punching his chest and he let her.
"you're a fucking asshole who can't admit that he's sorry. i had to find out by the fucking internet, this happened months ago! what the fuck haz!" her voice cracked. he held her hands tightly. "i'm sorry. please forgive me, i'm sorry. angel. please." he really couldn't explain himself. he did it.
"no." his heart ached when she pulled away her arms. "you don't get to call me that anymore. i- i don't. i can't." she tried to wipe her tears. "no please edith. i'm so fucking sorry, i didn't mean to do it-" "but you did it! you knew how much i fucking loved you and you did it! you cheated on me, you got barbara fucking pregnant. you ruined our future. it's over." her voice died down as she fell to the ground.
harry immediately followed holding her. "no please. we can work this out, i love you. i'm sorry. you are the only woman in this world that i will ever love. i don't care if you stop loving me, i need you. i'll never stop loving you. you're my everything, my moonlight, the love of my life, my angel-" she softly pushed him away.
"if you think i'm going to forgive you with that. you shouldn't bother, you're an idiot. you're only saying this because you know how much i fucking love you." he shook his head. "no. no. no. edith. i love you. so fucking much. please, forgive me." he tried but he knew he couldn't change her mind.
the two were both silent taking in everything. "what happens now?" she asked. harry stayed quiet holding her hand, she didn't move away. "i- i have to take care of this kid. it's mine. i can't let the kid go on without a dad. i'm so fucking sorry dith." the words she never wanted to ever hear or expect to hear fell out. her heart was broken. she sniffed. "yeah and i don't want to hold you back from that." his head lifted when she pulled away her hand.
"edith.." he started as she shook her head. more tears fell out of his eyes watching as she took off the ring. she softly placed it on his weak hand closing it, he closed his eyes feeling her soft hand on the side of his face. opening it when she lifted his face up. the two stared brokenly at each other. "you know i love you haz." she whispered. he nods.
"but i don't want to live or love like that." she was about to let go but he held onto her tighter. he wasn't ready for her to go. "baby. i'm nothing without you." she only shrugged. "i guess we'll both have nothing." he closed his eyes before taking ahold of her face. she leaned into his touch knowing she won't feel this anymore when she walks out
"i love you so fucking much. you are my everything, my angel, my moonlight, my love, my wife. loving you was all i ever needed. loving you is the antidote. i will never get tired of you, i don't deserve your love. i don't deserve you. i'll never get tired of your voice, smiles, laughs. i love how sweet and sassy you are. or trying your hardest to get one direction back." the two shared a small laugh.
"i love you. i'm sorry it had to end like this. i will always love you." with that, he kissed her passionately. filled with love and heartbreak. after she threw her arms around him, he pulled her back even more tighter afraid she'll slip away. "i love you hazza, you were my everything." he dropped his head on her shoulder after hearing the word 'were' that was it. she was gone.
his hands shook as she detached himself, leaving a small kiss on his forehead. before walking out of his home. edith walked to her car, trying not to cry again. it was hard when she heard the familiar shouting and screaming from her ex-fiancé in his house. he was throwing things, like always.
she wanted to run back in but she didn't. she stepped into her car, sitting down. locking everything. looking at her phone screen.
that night, she slipped away.

she furrowed her brows looking at cindy's contact. they hadn't really talked ever since they hooked up before she got together with harry, which was ages ago. until her screen turned off, and harry's contact was shown. a picture of the both of them. harry was calling her.
she looked at it before looking away, a sob escaped her lips, she bit her hand trying to stop. but she couldn't. next thing she knew, she was having a panic attack. not thinking, she pulled up her phone. scrolling past everyone until she found cindy's contact.
harry let out a shaky breath, dropping his pen on the table. resting his hands on his knees. the scribbles, the writing, the erasing or crossing out.
he had written falling in the spawn of maybe more than 20 minutes after his shower, thinking of edith and him. and only them two. before a ding from his phone was heard.

and yeah. harry did finally listen to the two new songs from edith. on repeat, going through his memories of her and him, until he fell asleep. with tears in his eyes.
