One Rainy Day Part 2 (KageHina)

Kageyama's POV

The time inside the court playing against him again ended fast. And it somehow made me feel guilty and sad not because of the fact that we lost but because I realized how selfish I am back on that day. Honestly, I can't even remember how I played throughout the match because my head is preoccupied of thoughts of admiration towards Hinata's growth. That solid high jump, being a decoy for himself, setting, even doing a jump serve, and he is also speaking a foreign language. My baby grew up so fine. We are now lining up and I had the chance to shake Hinata's hand. I wanted to talk to him but it somehow feels like I swallowed my tongue and my mind can't create words to say. While I was doing fan signing, I saw Sugawara senpai next in line. I smiled as soon as he reach the front.

"Look at you, you're such a star now that I really have to get your sign and brag about it with the kids at school." He said cheerfully. Same old Sugawara senpai.

"Thank you for coming Sugawara-san." I said while signing his notebook.

"Of course I can't miss the comeback game of one of my favorite kouhai plus he's playing against you. So no regrets." He then tapped my shoulder.

"By the way, we're having a little reunion. Hinata said he'll come. I'll text you the address so be sure to join us." He said after he grabbed the notebook and left.

I really thought that I would never have another chance to talk to Hinata properly but after hearing that I know there's still hope.

Hinata's POV

I am so excited, I miss my former volleyball team and now we'll be having a mini reunion and at the same Sugawara-san said that it's also my welcome home party. But it also means that Kageyama will be there too.

"Finally we won against Adlers! I think I was on fire today though. Hitting those spikes just feels so good." Bokuto-san said energetically as he changes.

It's still my first game with this team but I already love the energy coming off from ny teammates. I mean who would have thought that Bokuto-san, who became my mentor during high school, would be in the same team with me. Plus another awesome teammate who is Sakusa-san, one of the top 3 spikers during high school but of course the setter who promised to me that he will set to me someday, Miya Atsumu. I could still remember how confused I was when he said that after our game, in which we, the Karasuno, won.

I checked on the time and it's almost seven in the evening already, so I hurriedly gathered my things, and was about to head off when Atsumu grab my wrist. I looked back at him with confusion. After that he immediately let go.

"Why are you in a hurry? Do you have plans for this evening?" He asked while shoving his jersey in his bag.

"The former Karasuno volleyball team will have a mini reunion." I said while smiling showing how excited I am.

Bokuto-san overhead it and expressed how he wanted to come but Akaashi-san and him already decided to have a dinner date. Oh forgot to mention that they are already engaged. They are just still saving up money to be married in Netherlands.

"Can I come?" Atsumu ask a little bit shy.

I paused for a moment before answering yes which made him jump with glee. I mean, it would be fine right?

When we arrived at the barbecue place texted by Sugawara-san, they immediately called out my name enthusiastically. In order for Atsumu-san not to feel out of place, I introduced him to the team although we already know him and gladly, they also introduced themselves. Yachi waved at me and patted the space beside her, signaling me to sit beside her. And I realized that he's still not here.
