People criticized YG Entertainment for not revealing ECLITE's fandom name when they revealed the members in the group. K-Netizens thought that the delay of the group's fandom name would make people drift away from liking the group, most of the people that said these comments were mostly toxic BLACKPINK fans that did not like the creation of ECLITE. The toxic BLACKPINK fans got a lot of backlash and so did ECLITE. Some people thought that the idea of people thinking that they would not like a group that debuted a week ago because they haven't released their fandom name was dumb.
LITERALLY 2 days later it was scheduled that ECLITE was going to reveal their fandom name by a treasure hunt. The treasure hunt was going to be held at the YG SUPERSTAR app, it was mainly for the fans of ECLITE, but any one could play it. The person that was fastest to find the treasure was going to be the first person to ever know the fandom name and also going to be given the price of 551,267.50 Korean Won, (500 U.S Dollars).
The internet was dumb-founded, people roasting other people for hating the group for nothing, people saying that their biggest flex was not hating a group for what the company did and other people that doesn't really care but just wants the money that they might win from the treasure hunt.
The day came and a lucky fan girl won the money and she knew the fandom name, she was not allowed to post it on social media or anything because of the group wanted to reveal with only one fan knowing.
