Author's note

I'll be using "I" instead of "you"from now on. I tried 'you' since it sounded better when I read it in other people's stories but while I'm writting "I" comes more naturally. Hope you don't mind.

"So you're really suuure your parents are you real parents?"

It's been a few weeks since I've stayed at that house. On that day, after I got something to eat, they explained to me that they managed to save me from those thugs, but they could not save my mother as well.

I could stay as long as I would like, they said.

At first, my idea was to leave, but... I had no where else to go. I had no food, or clothes and everyone on that house seemed nice to me.

Wich, in it's own way, felt a bit odd.

Why would they help a stranger like me without expecting anything in return?

And now there were these weird questions...

"Yes... I am sure" I replied with a tired tone.

"I see!" The woman retorted while fixing her glasses "interesting!"

Ever since this person arrived here, she's been acting strange arround me, like I'm a test subject of some sort. She's been watching my movements, making random questions and all in general just a lot of uncomfortable staring.

"Can I go now?" I asked, hoping I could have some time alone.

Today, rather than my feelings or my body she's been making questions about my parents. It was a subject I still did not want to touch upon; but since everyone had been so nice to me, I could not straight up refuse.

"What about their hair color-"

"Look, they were my real parents. My mother used to tell me stories about the pregnancy or when I was a baby... and I only remember them as far as my memory goes... I might not be able to prove it now but-"

I stopped myself since I started to feel my eyes getting watery. Indeed I could not prove anything now. Both my house with everything in it, and my parents were...

"Alright you can go. I'm sorry that I took so much of your time. And thanks for dealing with me for a bit" she said with a soft voice "YO LEVI" she shouted changing her tone in an heartbeat and turning to the guy that was sitting on the table, drinking tea, the first time that I got here "Erwin said you should head to town tomorrow, he has a job for you. Also you should bring all the knights"

"Tsk, another dirty job to clean up his mess" Levi replied, unamused "why don't you go yourself four eyes"

"Common Levi, you know I'm not much of a fighter. Well not as good as you are" she winked at me which made me reply with an awkward smile.

"Well now I shall be going" she proceeded while walking towards the door "and you better go tomorrow!"

"Hange" Levi said with a serious expression "what kind of job is it this time"

"You'll know when you get there" she waved with a smile and quickly left which made Levi even more irritated.

"Alright you have one hour to get ready, that should be plenty of time"

Levi had just informed everyone over breakfast that we all would be traveling to town today. Everyone, including myself.

The knights left the room promptly leaving only me, Levi and Eren at the table.

"I have to go too..?" I asked just to be sure.
