Your POV:
As Hermione pulled out the baking ingredients and Ron finished eating his breakfast, you dug through a thick stack of recipes that Molly kept in one of her kitchen drawers. The papers were crumpled and old looking. You could tell which ones were used more than others. You settled on a chocolate chip cookie recipe that everyone in the family would enjoy.
"Okay, Ronald, crack the eggs into the bowl," Hermione directed. "Y/n, you can measure the sugar."
"Got it!" You replied, grabbing the bag of sugar and a measuring cup.
"And I will- oh Ronald! You put them in the wrong bowl! I meant this one," she said, gesturing to a smaller bowl that was sitting to her right.
"Oh, right, I knew that," Ron said as he picked up the bowl he had cracked the eggs in and slid them into the correct bowl.
You couldn't stop yourself from laughing.
Of course he put them in the wrong bowl, you thought.
You giggled at his little mistake. Then he pretended to look mad at you for laughing at him, which only made you laugh harder.
He smiled at the sound of your laugh and started to blush. You noticed this almost immediately, but decided not to say anything. Probably because you understood how it felt. After all, you practically blushed every time you saw him.
Maybe Fred and George are right.
As the three of you began baking, Hermione started to scan the room as if she was looking for something.
"Hey, I have to go find something, I'll be back." She said, turning and heading for the stairs.
"Do you need help looking?" You offered, and Ron nodded as if he was agreeing to help her look.
"No, no it's fine. You two can keep doing that while I check Ginny's room," she replied.
You followed her with your gaze and she gave you a quick wink before disappearing upstairs. That's when it clicked. She was giving you and Ron some time alone.
You smiled to yourself before turning back around to face him.
"So, what's next on the recipe?" You asked.
"Um, let's see. It says to 'add the flour into the large bowl'" he read.
"You mean the bowl you put the eggs in the first time?" You joked as you picked up the bag of flour.
He dropped his jaw. "Well, if I'm not mistaken, you're the one that fell of your broom the other day, so..." he trailed off, as he playfully snatched the bag of flour out of your grasp.
"If I remember correctly, it was your best friend who made me fall off my broom?" You said stepping closer to him, pulling the bag of flour out of his hands.
"Well, I'm pretty sure it was your best friend who threw the quaffle that knocked you off your broom, wasn't it?" He said, his eyebrow raised. He then grabbed onto the bag again and pulled it towards himself.
"Well she's your sister, so-"
This time, as you grabbed the bag of flour, it slipped from your grip and fell to the floor. A huge cloud of dust erupted into the air as the bag hit the ground, flour exploding everywhere, leaving you and Ron both powdered with white.
