Your POV:

As you and Ron finally pulled away from each other's lips, his face broke into a smile.

You smiled back feeling the happiest you've ever been.

"I've been waiting to do that for so long," he said in a quiet, almost relieved voice.

You tilted your head in confusion, surprise, and happiness.

He gave you a sheepish smile, recognizing your expression.

"I just, I didn't know how to tell you. You are my best friend y/n. Our friendship means everything to me and I didn't want to do anything that would take that away. You truly do make me so incredibly happy," he told you with such genuine eyes.

"Ron.. that is exactly how I felt too." You said, feeling glad that you were both on the same page now. "I didn't know if I should say something or not because I didn't want to ruin the friendship we already had," you told him.

He smiled at you understandingly.

"I guess we were both thinking the same thing, huh?" You said to him.

"Yeah, I guess so." He said with a chuckle.

"All those moments we shared where we came so close to finally making it official, we kept getting interrupted and it made me so frustrated because I just wanted it to finally happen so that you could finally be mine."

You felt your heart flutter as he said the words "be mine." You couldn't believe that all this time you and your best friend had not known that each other felt the same way.

"Ron, if you don't mind me asking, why did you get upset when the twins called me your girlfriend?" You asked out of pure curiosity.

"Oh, I'm so sorry y/n, I didn't even think about how that would make you feel. Every time they said that word, it was just a painful reminder of what I didn't have, what I hadn't asked you yet.."

You hoped with your entire being that he would ask you exactly what he was thinking.

"So, miss y/l/n," he said, stepping closer to you so that your back was now pressed up against the wall. "Want to make this official?"

Without giving it a second thought, you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss.

He immediately grabbed onto your waist with his huge hands and pulled your hips against him.

You felt him smile through the kiss as it ended and then he said with a chuckle, "I'll take that as a yes."

You laughed with him as you let your hands slip back down to your sides.

He then reached out and grabbed your hand, interlocking his fingers with yours.

You looked up at him, feeling unbearably happy, as the two of you walked out the front door, together.

As you met up with the rest of the family, Fred and George immediately noticed you and Ron holding hands and gave you a 'did you do it?' look.

You nodded your head, the biggest smile growing on your face.

They silently applauded you by doing a little dance and giving you thumbs ups.

You loved the twins. They were so supportive of you and they were always there to make sure you were on top of your game. You were really glad you had friends like them to watch over you.

"Is everyone ready for the reveal?" Arthur said as he prepared to plug in the last set of Christmas lights.

"Yeah!" Everybody cheered.

You leaned your head on Ron's shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling your body against his.

Mr. Weasley then plugged the lights in and everyone shouted with excitement and happiness.

Tomorrow was Christmas, and you couldn't have been more excited.

Once everyone had gone back inside, Fred and George pulled you aside.

"You kissed him?!" They said together.

You nodded your head, practically bubbling over with happiness.

They both engulfed you in a tight hug started jumping around in a circle with excitement.

"It finally happened! Thank goodness!" Fred shouted.

You laughed as they danced you around in a circle.

"We're so proud of you y/n," George said as they let you out of their grasp.

"We knew you could do it," Fred said.

"Also... we told you!!" They said together.

"Told me what?" You replied.

"You claimed that you weren't in love with Ron at the beginning of winter break," George began.

"But seeing as you just kissed him and now you two are dating... we knew you were lying." Fred finished.

You looked back and forth between the two boys as they raised their eyebrows at you.

"You know what, maybe I wasn't completely telling you the truth," you replied.

"Ah ha! Knew it." Fred said crossing his arms and smiling as George bit his bottom lip and began nodding at you.

You giggled at their reactions.

"I'm sorry, I guess I didn't really want to admit it. I kinda just wanted to forget about it so I didn't mess anything up."

"Well look at you now!" George said.

"I know, I'm so happy. Thank you guys for being so encouraging about all this." You said to them.

"That's not the only thing you can thank us for," Fred said, pulling a small empty glass bottle out of his pocket and holding it up in front of him.

Your eyes widened as you came to realize what it was.

"Liquid luck.." you said, almost shocked. "But how did you-"

"At dinner," Fred said, cutting you off.

"When you couldn't find your glass of water," George added.

"Oh my gosh, of course you two had it," you face palmed.

They giggled with each other as Fred slipped the bottle back into his pocket.

Since everyone had already eaten dinner, you all decided to hang out and talk until you got tired. What better way to spend your Christmas Eve?

Everyone was sitting in the living room laughing, talking, and having fun.

You, Hermione, and Ginny all decided to head up to Ginny's room for a bit once you told them you had something you wanted to tell them about.

"So, what is it?" Hermione asked, as the three of you sat in a circle on the floor of Ginny's bedroom.

You felt a smile spread across your face as the thought of Ron kissing you filled your mind.

"It happened, we kissed!" You told them, excitedly.

"Oh my goodness really?!" Hermione screamed.

"Finally!" Ginny said to you, seeming just as relieved as you were.

You told them all about it, and they were so happy for you, just like you knew they would be. They were such good friends to you.

After that, Ginny went on about how her and Harry's relationship was going, which made you so happy for her as well.

After talking about your love lives for a while, there was a knock at the door.
