Everyone has a side that they don't want others to see. There's nothing wrong with it. It's natural for humans to do that. You won't go searching for someone's hidden side until it's too late.
"Good morning, Y/n!" You look up to see Yuki Yoshikawa, your best friend, smiling at you. Where were you sitting in the class? Well you had to bribe some people in class(not blackmail) to get the perfect seat...away from your sister Kyoko.
You didn't hate your sister. Far from it. You just felt bad for her being in the same class with you. The two of you were really close at home but at school, you felt like you were embarrassing her.
Why?
Well, your past wasn't the greatest and you were adopted. Two things like that plus a bad rumor and she'll get asked questions. To be honest, you knew what you were doing was stupid. Your 16. What good would it do to hide away and then open up at home? Hell, you were lucky you even had any friends.
"Y/n?" Yuki said you once again. It seemed you didn't answer her.
"What's up?" You said to her. She smiled at you with a suspicious look.
"You've been out of it recently. I just asked you what your plans are tonight." She asked you and you smirked at her.
"I didn't know you were trying to ask me on a date, Yuki~" You said to her as she blushed.
"No, it's not that! I was just wondering if you wanted to go to karaoke tonight with Takako and the gang." She asked you. You sighed. It was the same thing as always.
"Yuki, I'm not good at that sort of thing." You told her. It wasn't something to do easily. It was well out of your comfort zone. You also didn't want to embarrass anyone, especially your best friend.
"You and your sister never come!" She pouts cutely. You smile and pat her head. You give her a bittersweet smile.
"I'm sorry."
She perks up with a smile. "It's okay! Maybe next time!" She says before she goes away. You can still feel the warmth in your hands, before it quickly fades away.
"Yeah...maybe next time." You begin to pack up for the day. After all, you knew that the class was about to be over. You always knew the quickest way out and the quickest way in. A skill you picked up from your scumbag of a biological father.
Once the bell rang, you immediately dashed out the classroom. You made sure you were silent. After all, not many people recognized you, even in your classroom. You bump into the rep of your class. His name escapes you because you know rarely lift your head up during class.
You weren't a bad kid, well, at least not anymore. You knew most of what they were teaching before hand so school wasn't really a challenge to you. It was the experiences in school which scared you.
You watched as your technically older sister, Kyoko Hori, wave goodbye to her friends. You look over at her expression.
"You can go. I can pick up Souta." You tell her but she looks at you in disbelief.
"You wouldn't even make it to the bus yard." She says to you. You swear, Kyoko knew exactly how to insult you. I guess that what older sisters are for.
As soon as we got home, she put her hair in a ponytail and got out cleaning supplies. I put on a mask, gloves, holding a sponge and a disinfectant spray bottle.
You knew that it was time to clean. You headed upstairs to work on the bathrooms as Kyoko worked on the living room. You hear her scream and get worried.
"You okay?" You shouted to her.
"Yes! But come down! We have a guest!" She yells back at you. You didn't know who it could possibly be. Who would try and come to a place like this? No one who knew. Like you said before, although you have friends, it's not like you hang out with them outside of school.
