"So Alec, Uncle Lindsey owns this place. Like the physically owns it. It's so cool." Jessi squeals when they climb out of the vehicles that they took. Liv drove, herself, Lola. Jessie and Alec. Colton drove Chris and Lori, And Lindsey and Stevie took Cash and the horses. Lindsey unhooked the horse trailer and he led the horses out. Colton physically hoped up on Prince with such ease and then Liv took Snow's reigns.
"You can get on her, she's your horse." Lindsey states.
"I wanna wait for you." She shakes her head.
"Alright, who's all riding?" Lindsey asks.
Alec, Jessi, Lori, Stevie, and Lola raised their hands and Lindsey nodded.
"Alright, Chris you can make yourself comfortable everything is of access to you." Lindsey smiles.
"Alright, I'll be over here. with the ponies, they aren't bigger than I am." Chris laughs.
When Lindsey gallops back over on a giant Chesnut horse. He had three horses running alongside him and Jade was behind him on a beautiful pure black horse with two more reigns in her hands.
"Look who I found." Lindsey smiles.
"This is my girlfriend Jade. Jade this is my Aunt Lori, my cousin Jessi, and her boyfriend Alec. Uncle Chris is over by the ponies." Colton grins.
"Nice to meet you." She smiles.
"Alright, Who's getting on one first?" Lindsey questions.
"Tell us names, Uncle Lindsey." Jessi pleads.
"Well, my horse is named Buck naturally, as that's what they call me. Jade is riding on Scarlet. This black and white painted one is going to be Steph's because her name is Rhiannon." Lindsey smirks as Stevie beams and takes the reign from him. "Then there's Wilbur, we have Maple, Willow, and Wisteria," Lindsey explains.
"I'll take Wilbur." Lori smiles as Jade hands over the reins of a white horse with gray speckling on his nose.
"Who do you think I should ride Mr. B?" Lola asks.
"Well, I'd say Willow. She's mellow enough for a beginner and I'd give Maple to Alec. Wisteria is a retired racehorse, do you think you can handle her Jess?" Lindsey asks.
"I think I can manage." She beams.
"Alright, Livvy...I've got her reign you just need to climb up." Colton trots up next to her.
"Okay...I can do this...see the horse, feel the horse be the horse." She sighs wrapping her arms around the horse's neck who whinny's in response. And the smile that breaks out across Liv's face makes Stevie's heart swell.
"C'mon sweet girl." Stevie smiles as Lindsey grabs her reign and she climbs onto Rhiannon.
They all watch as Livinia climbs on the horse and once she's seated the joy encompasses her face and just like a natural she leans over and wraps her arms around Snow's neck again.
They cheer and then everyone else mounts up and they look at Alec and Lola who were still firmly planted on the ground.
"Alright, I'm going to do this like a tour. I know we're in an open space right now, but I am going to take you onto the trail. Jess grab Alec's reign and Steph, or Liv one of you grab Lola's." Lindsey demands.
"Liv leans over and grabs the reign.
"Okay, so I know Lola's right-handed Alec are you a lefty or a righty?"
"Righty." He answers.
"Okay, so you're both going to get on the left side of the horse. Now, put your left foot in the stirrup and grab the reign. You're going to put all your weight onto your left foot like your stepping onto a step."
"A very steep step." Alec states
"Well yeah, but a step nonetheless.." Lindsey chuckles, "Alright drop your weight and use your arms to pull up and swing your right leg over the horse and you'll be seated, then situate your right foot in the stirrup."
They both get up there successfully and Lindsey makes his way over to them and hands out some helmets. He then puts his cowboy hat on and Stevie trots over and kisses him not being able to help herself because he looked exactly how he did the day she smacked him across the face, but her PDA pulled the now normal groans of disgust out of their three charges.
"Alright, the harder you kick them the faster they go. Livinia." He looks at her.
"Daddy." She shakes her head.
"You've got this baby." He looks at her and she just gulps before she spurs the horse on and she takes off a lightning speed doing exactly what she's trained to do her whole life. And she does it almost effortlessly. She even shows off by making Snow go around the training barrels.
When she gets back to the group, Colton leans over and wraps his arms around her kissing her forehead and Stevie's heart swelled at the sight of her children.
"Alright so don't do what she just did. To start them off, you may have heard it when Liv kicked her off. It was a kissing sound, but it's your tongue hitting the roof of your mouth." Lindsey does it and Buck starts walking.
"To turn your horse right, pull the reins to the right, to get them to jump pull back, to go left pull left. To slow them down you simply say Woah. Do we think we're ready?" Lindsey asks.
"I'm ready." Lori nods.
"I'm nervous but I'm ready and so excited." Lola grins.
"Colton and Jade will take the front, I'll take the rear. Liv are you riding next to me?" Lindsey asks.
"No, I'm going to ride next to Lola." She smiles.
"I'm proud of you baby." He grins also leaning over and kissing her head much like Colton had done.
They went on the trail ride and then they went back to the opening where Lori trotted up next to Lindsey and Stevie who were watching the kids gallop around with the horses. Alec and Lola thoroughly enjoying themselves.
"Do you know what this reminds me of?" Lori asks.
"What?" Stevie questions
"Stand Back Scarlett." She answers.
"Oh, My GOD!" Stevie gasps starting to laugh.
"What's Stand Back Scarlett?" Lindsey questions.
"The version of my music video for Stand Back the song I wrote with Prince." She explains.
"I know Stand Back, I love that song." Lindsey states.
"Yeah well, that wasn't the first video." Stevie shakes her head.
"Now I have to know." Lindsey laughs.
"That's what we'll do tonight." Stevie nods.
