Marinette sighed as she prepared her bag for school, a place she once adored, a place where everyone was friendly and always eager to see each other, it was a sad comparison to school in the present, all because of a filthy stupid little- Marinette doesn't like liars -Although Marinette was technically one herself, but she tried to justify it, tried to ignore how no one other her parents knew who she truly was, and maybe it was because her biological parents never told her who they were, never told her what they did, they painted a false image of who they were and they let her find out about what they did through others, it felt like betrayal, a betrayal that felt so harsh, like someone stabbed her in the heart and if she wanted to stay alive she'd have to keep that blade inside her, their memory, their betrayal unless she wanted to bleed out- Lila she is a liar, one who tore almost all her relationships apart. One who made it her top priority to destroy Marinette, In Lila's eyes she was nothing more then a toy to play with, once broken and useless only then would she throw it to the side and begin playing with another toy. However Marinette is one stubborn girl and she won't let anybody break her.
Marinette is startled by her friend and and mentor Tikki "Marinette! You've been staring daggers at your bag for five minutes!" The girl placed a hand to her temple as a sharp pain shot up her head "Sorry Tikki, you know how school is, I'm not too excited to go" the tiny god nodded in understanding "Right, well at least you're not juggling school and being a superhero anymore" Marinette chuckled "Don't remind me, those days were horrible" the two spoke with happiness and fondness for each other. Their conversation was cut short when Marinette's phone lit up and the sound of a notification cut through. "Just a sec Tikki" and with an apologetic smile Marinette checked her phone.
Adrien <3
Hey, just wanted to wish you good luck with your first day at school :DA a grin played at Marinette's lips, how sweet of him.
Mari
Thanks, I'll call you when school is overMarinette waited impatiently for a response, excited and overjoyed, she only ever felt this way with him,
Adrien <3
Alright, can't wait to talk to you, love you.And even though Marinette had heard those words a hundred times before it was still enough to make her heart soar
Mari
Love you too :)With a smile on her lips, Marinette put away her phone in her purse. "Let me guess, a message from loverboy" Marinette blushed and rolled her eyes at Tikki's words "Oh hush! The other day you and Plag were all over eachother!" Tikki fell silent "That's what I thought" Marinette said with a smirk.
Marinette checked the time and jumped, she didn't have much until class started and so she chose a random outfit and slid on her bag. She headed downstairs and stopped to bid her parents goodbye but they wouldn't let her leave without food in her stomach. She laughed as they made corny jokes, and smiled as they talked and ate, this was family, this was her family.
She left the bakery and to school she went, yet the moment she stepped outside she felt as though something was going to happen today, something bad.

Marinette walked through the mostly empty halls that led to her classroom, pausing at times to read what was written on the posters hung up on the walls, school events and what not.
