After school we wait upstairs in the hallway ready to go to the gym for the Luau dance. I knew by that time he wasn't going to ask me. I still liked him because he is so nice and cute but that's not the point. I'm one of the prettiest girls in the whole 8th grade how did I not get asked to the dance. Well anyways I'm here to have fun today at the dance.
There's going to a lot of food, games, loud music and prizes! I can't wait!
We walk down and they announced to the middle school to go to the cafeteria to eat Qdoba before the party. They told us to only eat 1 taco but I ate 3 (oops). My friends and I sat at a table together talking. A few minutes later they announced us to enter the gym to start. We ran in and "Birthday" by Katy Perry was on. They had big blue square like-poles on each side of the DJ set. A few minutes later we started the games. I noticed Daniel wasn't there😓. I was so bummed. I wanted to be the most magical night for us.
We started a game. It was a dance competition. Our sixth grade representatives were Christian daily and Cai Celestin. They started the music and they were burning up the dance floor. They totally won. The judge called out stop and we all clapped for CAI and Christian. One of the teachers Mr. Bliss said that the sixth grade won and everybody in the grade jumped up and screamed high-fiving them. Everyone was having a great time but I was still sad because Daniel wasn't there. A slow dance unexpectedly and the judge said "We have someone that is really upset and he would love to apologize for what he had done. And out of the blue here comes Daniel running down the hallway with a big boo kay of flowers.
"I know it may be to late to ask but, will u go to the dance with me?"
"Totally", I screamed.
