Once a famed Knight of Fiore and protector of Princess Hisui, Lexios Granger was entrusted with recovering the Legendary Holy Sword of Ishgar. Following events unforeseen he now carries the sword with powers beyond his control.
Now shunned, he wande...
They say even in our darkest times there is always light. From my experience that is not always the case. My ambition, my hunger for greater power led me astray. I didn't need to take on that job but how could I disobey the King I am sworn to. My duty as protector of Princess Hisui should have been enough for me, that sweet face with her precious emerald green eyes. All the times we shared together, the way she smiled at me as we sauntered through the royal gardens, the way she laughed when I joked, the way she hung to my every word as I told her stories. Her mischievous and vivacious character was infectious, capable of bringing joy and happiness to any sombre soul. She was like my very own flesh and blood; how could I trade my duty to her for the lure of another legendary power? For greed? I suppose no one could have foreseen the events that were to occur but there was always going to be an element of risk when an object of legendary prowess is involved. Still, I never had to leave.

The room radiated with an immense aura of magical power. It was clear that something dwelled within, and I craved it. Power, a prize that all men are drawn to and it stood as the centre point of this vast space, the glowing hilt emanating in the darkness. The blue sapphire at the base of the hilt glistened in the light that crept through the cracks in the cave walls. As I looked closer the sword became clearer, the black pommel continuing into a black crossguard that resembled wings with ridged edges, like the serrated wings of a dragon. The base of the blade shyly peeking out from the slit in the floor flashing like a newly polished diamond.
The tales of the Holy Sword of Ishgar have been passed down for generations. They told of its illustrious power, capable of slaying any foe, monsters, dragons, even gods. As the tales go, only someone worthy can wield this mighty weapon. For all I knew this could have been a job not worth taking. So far the journey had been long and tiring but we were yet to encounter any real danger, until now.
As I stepped forward to claim the sword for myself, something emerged from the darkness. The temperature dropped almost instantly, my breath appearing like mist in front of me as an immense pressure began to transcend. An incomprehensible power had awoken after laying dormant for an age.
Those eyes, those demonic, crimson eyes emerged from behind the veil of shadows. A sound resembling the earth itself being torn apart thundered through the air as crimson perfused veins began breaking through the jet-black scales of the creature's gargantuan body like crystallised streaks of mineral in a fine stone. These veins seemed to pulsate and resonate, shrouding the room in a crimson cloak.

I stepped back, raised my arm and prepared for battle. "REQUIP!, ACHILLES WARRIOR KING ARMOUR!".
A gold circle of magical power appeared on the ground around me. It's light vanquishing the crimson glow of the creature. Unleashing my magical power it lifted me into the air. Interdimensional rifts now opened up in space around me, the effervescent lights of the cosmos seeping through, filling the room with the light of a thousand stars. Each rift revealing a piece of armour, black with specks of gold emerged as they hurtled towards me. Now armed with the legendary Achilles Warrior King armour and spear I call to my men.
