Brother Mine

Chapter 5

On the bus to the training camp, I text Dabi and listen to music.

We send them off in pairs and I wish for the signal. When I smell the fire I wait. A few villains come along and I sprint away. I run to the spot he told me to meet him and I catch sight of him. He's been having me call him Dabi because he doesn't want the name our father picked.

We lock eyes and I smile. I sprint as fast as I can and slam all my weight into his arms. He almost falls over and he hugs me back.
"Oh I missed you." I say into his chest. He holds me tight and I feel home. He leads me to an open clearing after setting fires.
"Welcome to the world of villains Ako."

I see Bakugo wake up and he sees me. He starts screaming through the mask.
"Sorry Bakugo. Life sucks. Just remember that I have my reasons. Don't let Aizawa get too hung up over it."

Dabi walks in. I jump up and hug him tightly. Shigaraki comes in and unchains him. He tries to persuade him to join us but he refused.
"Pizza delivery!"

The wall is smashed in and Kamui Woods captures all of them. I see All a might look at me and he clearly thinks that I'm still innocent. Dabi tries to burn out of the wood but a small old man hero kicks him in the face. Dabi seems dazed and I panic. Flames spark in my hands and I get ready to torch the heroes.
"There's no need for that young Todoroki. We have it handled." I snort and the flames in my hands get bigger.
"You're safe now young Todoroki. Young Bakugo."
"Kurogiri what's wrong? Get us out of here!"
"I'm sorry Tomura Shigaraki, the Nomu's were supposed to be in a fixed location but, they're all gone."
"Your little league, the sould of these young people, the police's diligent examination, and our righteous fury."
"Enough is enough. Your game has come to an end."
I grow my flames more and go to torch Kamui Woods but I am kicked in the face by the old man.
"You have a good kick old man."
I rub my cheek and I hear Dabi.
"Do it."
I go to freeze everyone but I am captured by Kamui Woods and caught off my guard."

Grey liquid start leaking from all of our mouths and it tastes nasty. Nomu come through portals of the liquid as well. We are teleported away and we end up at a destroyed Kamino Ward.

All for One is speaking to Bakugo and we all cough up the liquid. My face still stings and Dabi offers me a hand. He helps me stand up and he rubs his hand lightly over the what I assume is already bruised area.
"You alright?"
"Yeah."

Soon enough, All Might arrives. While him and All for One fight, a group of kids calls out for us. Bakugo gets them and I shoot flames at them. They narrowly dodge and realize that I'm not on their side.

After a while of fighting, All for One activated Kurogiri's quirk. We go through the portals and get to the new base. We turn on the TV to watch the fight. We see All for One loose and Shigaraki gets pissy.

The next week is spent with the teachers and Heroes claiming that I've been brainwashed and that they plan on bringing me in to "fix" me.

I wake up and my room is dark. I put on my shoes and sneak out of the bar to go on a walk. I walk around outside and when I get around Hosu I see a faint outline of Eraserhead. I use my fire and blast up to him. R gets in stance to attack and I put my hands up.
"Please let me explain."
"Explain what? Why you tried to kill all might? Why you deserted dozens of kids who look up to you? Why you left your friends?"
"Why I left you." I say softly. He goes quiet.
"Endeavor. He's abusive. Dabi is Touya Todoroki my brother. I helped him fake his death and run away. We planned to get me out of there too. I knew Shoto would never agree to coming with me."
"How exactly does he abuse you?"
"He beats us. Me Touya and Shoto are he only ones he saw worthy so he works is to death and if we do something wrong he would beat us up. It wasn't uncommon for us to get cracked ribs."
"Why didn't you just tell someone?"
"He controls the hospital bills for my mom. He threatened to get her killed if we said anything."
"Please just come back."
"I can't. I need to be with Dabi. He's the only one besides you that makes me feel safe."
I am crushed into a hug and I hug back. I break down and sob into his chest while he holds me.
"I'm gonna help you. I promise."
