They were walking towards Hogsmeade, joking and laughing along the way. Regulus had his arm over Delilah's shoulder as they were walking with Evan, Leonard and Monica were way ahead of them having their conversation.

"How's life treating you Rosier?" asked Delilah, shivering from the cold, Regulus noticed and pulled her closer squeezing her arm, a smirk on his face. Delilah picked up at what he was doing and turned around kissing him, close to his mouth.

Regulus turned his attention to Evan trying to ignore the tension between the small Hufflepuff and him. Evan started talking about how annoying Professor Bins was the other day.

"A ghost for a teacher?!" he said annoyed.
"come on now, the guy doesn't even know he is dead"

Delilah let out a loud laugh and nodded her head agreeing with him "I completely get what you are saying, I had History of Magic last week and he thought we were 4th years" she said amused, yet serious understanding that Bins as a teacher is actually kind of a big problem "We kept telling him we weren't but he wouldn't believe us"

Evan and Regulus burst out laughing "As much as I think this is completely weird, I can imagine him doing that," said the black-haired boy with a shake of his head.

"Not Dumbledore's brightest idea" murmured Delilah sarcastically under her breath. 

Dumbledore was another person with that Delilah had mixed feelings. She had some respect for the headmaster because he was the one that defeated Grindelwald but the man was all riddles and mysteries. It annoyed her to no end, if you want to say something just say it straight forward, no need to hide over riddles. And don't let her start at the fact that he favored the house of the lions but that's a long conversation some people are not ready for.

Neither Regulus nor Evan heard her muttering as they entered the Three broomsticks. Many students were there drinking butterbeer and hot chocolate after the quidditch match.

She waved at some students and bid them a "have a nice day" before she saw the Marauders and excused herself from the two boys who told her they are gonna grab some drinks and join Mona and Leo at the table beside the fireplace.

She nodded and walked towards her brother and his friends  "You still hanging out with him?" asked Sirius, his voice filled with disgust as Delilah rolled her eyes at the older Black brother.

"Yes actually, all of them proved to be rather pleasant company," she said "Also Monica enjoys spending time with them and in the end, they are not even that bad," she said trying to explain to her brothers that she wasn't in danger.

Since they had noticed at the start of October that Mona and Delilah had started hanging out with the Slytherin trio, the three of the were quick to question it. The duo explained to them several times that they were gonna be just fine but none of the boys listened to them. In the end, they had no other option but to threaten them that they are going to hex them into oblivion. The boys stopped bugging them about it knowing that the two girls weren't joking.

"I still don't trust them," said James and sent a dirty look toward the group sitting near the fireplace

"Good for you James but if you try to do something, I won't hesitate to hex you or even better, send a letter to mum. Remember I love you and I know you are all looking out for me but sometimes you gotta listen to me"

What she was telling them was true, she appreciated that they tried to take care of her and make sure she was okay but she had to help Regulus with the whole death eater situation, and having the boys in the way wasn't something that would help her achieve her goal.

She got up to leave but James grabbed her hand "Be careful though, okay?" he asked and kissed her forehead, she nodded and bid them goodbye before walking towards the others.

Regulus saw her walking towards them and patted the seat next to him, with a small smile she joined them and took a sip from her butterbeer.

"The Halloween ball is only a few days away, what are you all gonna dress as?" asked Leo, and Delilah face palmed internally.

"Shoot, I forgot about the ball!" she said with a groan "Now I have to find what I am gonna dressed as and buy the costume"

"Well neither have I," said Mona.

"I don't think other students have either, Dumbledore always announces it one week before we have a couple of days left," said Leo, and Monica nodded her head, agreeing with him.

They started talking about the quidditch season and the classes they were taking but were cut off by the brown-haired girl whose eyes were wide open with excitement swimming over them "I know what I am gonna dressed as but I need you too" says Mona randomly and motions for Delilah to get closer so she can whisper it in her ear.

Delilah's eyes sparkled and she quickly nodded her head agreeing with what Monica told her "That's a pretty cool idea" she commented.

"You should get dressed as the three chipmunks from the muggle television show, what there names...?" she paused for a bit but remembered not long after "Alvin, Simon, and Theodore"

"Yeah she is right you fit the roles as if they were made for you three" Monica gestured towards them "Evan as Alvin, the idiotic but kinda clever one, Regulus as Simone since he is the smartest, and Theodore as Leo since he is the biggest softie," she said and pinched Leonards' cheek.

The boy only scowled at her in return, his cheeks turned a rosy color.

"Come on losers, let's get going, before our boy Leonard here, becomes a full tomato," said Delilah and the boys went to the counter to pay while the girls grabbed their coats. They met outside the store and after doing some more shopping they headed towards the castle in silence.
