"I hate you all! YOU ALL ARE DEAD TO ME!!" Naomi yells as she is being carried into an asylum by some assistant psychiatrists. While being carried in, you can hear the sounds of a sobbing mother and sister. Her best friend is completely heart broken while her boyfriend and father feels guilty and sad. You may wonder how we got here huh? Well, let's start from the beginning. It all started with Naomi and being birthed by Cicilia Bell. They were very happy when Naomi was born, especially Niah. She was really happy to hear she was getting a little sister as she has always wanted one.

They brought her home and all the attention was on Naomi. Both Naomi and Niah got everything they wanted. No they weren't rich, but both their parents had well paying jobs. Not high paying but they were financially stable. As time went on, Cicilia and Matthew started getting promoted to higher positions in their jobs as where they felt their family needed to keep up a good reputation and felt like their family needed improvement. As both Niah and Naomi were both well behaved and well mannered, Niah still got all the praise while all Naomi received was scoldings. As they both attended the same school, Niah was always on top of her studies for an elementary student, while Naomi tried to do the same but it never worked out. Not only was Niah favored by their parents, but by the teachers and other kids. Naomi was always called

"Niah's sister"

Naomi always felt like she had no label because everyone referred to her as those two words. Niah always came home with straight A's, while Naomi came home with B's and C's. Niah was indeed naturally smart while Naomi needed extra studying to get herself A's. Naomi had eventually started to get better from B's and C's to A's and B's, but still her effort was never enough to her parents. Naomi has always tried to be like her so she could be praised, too. To understand how Niah felt by doing good works, but instead, she always received comparisons to Niah

"Be like your sister" her mother would always say.

From elementary up to highschool, these words have been planted into Naomi's brain and never left. Instead, Naomi became resentful towards Niah and her parents, but towards Niah more. Niah tried to get her sister's attention, but Naomi never let her get the benefit of the doubts. Niah did everything she thinks a big sister could do to gain their little sister's attention, but Naomi refused every time. Naomi also stopped participating in family activities such as movie nights, game nights, and other activities. On Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Day, she would seclude herself in her room. The other family members thought she had a problem but the parents just shoved it off as "Oh she's a teenager. Teenagers do that."

As they are 5 years apart, Niah had already graduated highschool. Top of her class, too. But while they were in school together, Naomi's friends had ditched her to be friends with Niah. They say "Naomi is nothing like her sister." Niah was oblivious to this whole thing. People always fawned for Niah and left Naomi in the shadows. Even in highschool, Naomi was known as "Niah's sister." No label. Niah was known as the "it" girl. Boys wanted her while girls wanted to be her. Niah had the looks, the brains, and the personality that any boy would bring home to their mother. Naomi was all alone and she became insecure of her own sister. Naomi hated getting up in the morning and looking at herself in the mirror. She hated everything about herself. Naomi labelled herself as
"Worthless"
"Talentless"
"Unlovable"
"Ugly"
Back to graduation time. It came and Cicilia and Matthew were more than proud of Niah for becoming Valedictorian of her class. Naomi on the other hand was jealous. And felt even more worthless. Once again Niah was praised for her work.

After Niah left for college, it was just Naomi. She had grown popularity, but only because she is "Niah's Sister". People had actually started to get to know Naomi and they loved her. They had eventually forgot about her being the sibling to the Niah Bell Senior Year came around and there were two new transfer students from China. Maiya Zhou and Jay Zhou. As Naomi was class president, it was her job to show them around the School. They eventually became friends and were inseparable. Months into Senior year, Jay and Naomi had taking a liking for each other. Romantically. Maiya, being the supportive sister she was noticed and eventually set them up. They eventually started dating.

Coming to the near end of senior year, walking out of school one day, a pink Lamborghini pulls up in front of the school.
"Who is that?"
"I don't know"
"A celebrity?"

Out of the car comes Niah Bell. The students then started to go wild and surround Niah with their phones and the boys tried getting her number. But she only came to pick up Naomi. As she was looking for Naomi, she saw that Naomi had already left to go home. She was disappointed cuz she hadn't seen her for a while. Niah was out of college and was home for vacation and wanted to spend all her time with family, especially Naomi. She had wanted to try and get close to the stubborn Naomi and build a sister relationship with her.

As Niah was driving home in the car that her parents had bought for her to go to college with, Naomi had entered her room and just started throwing things everywhere and screaming.

"Why?!" WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME BACK?!?!" I HATE YOU SO MUCH!! WHY DON'T YOU JUST STAY OUT OF MY LIFE?!?!" Naomi screamed while having a break down. She did eventually started crying because she was so afraid that the words "Niah's Sister" would come back into play.

Would it?...

TO BE CONTINUED...
Okay so there we go. I'm feeling so giddy for this one. Lemme just say that is kinda a reflection of author-nim herself. I've always been compared to other family members, and I do isolate myself from everyone. But that's a story for another day. Hope you enjoyed chapter 1. Look out for Chapter 2 tomorrow! Bye bye!

Fighting!~ :3
