VI. That prat!

The week went off fast and before Thea could realize the weekend was already here, thankfully she never left her homework for the weekends, she would always do it once she got it, so most weekends she would get up, get changed and ready, head for breakfast and sit by the lake reading while the twins "studied", sometimes they would sit there just talking, but she like the most when they would sneak into the kitchen and ask the house-elves for food, then take it out and do a little picnic with the twins and Lee. This weekend wasn't the exception, as it was the first weekend of the term.
Thea's POV:
I woke up early, as much as I didn't like waking up early today I just did, I guess my body was wide awake, I walked down the stairs to find that the common room was empty, I decided to head to the boy's dormitories, I didn't bother to knock on the door as I knew they would be asleep, I slowly opened the door and crept past George's bed soon arriving next to Fred's bed, he looked peacefully asleep as I thought he would be, he was facing down at the mattress with his head tilted so his cheek would be pressed upon the pillow, I slowly opened the covers and lay on top of him, soon enough his snores calmed down ad his eyes fluttered open.
"Thea?" he asked
"Yes'" I replied
"What time is it?" he asked still sleepy but his morning voice sounding deep
"I don't know 7:30?" I said, I actually didn't know, I have woken up at 7:20 but I didn't keep track on how long it took for me to get up and the to their room
"Its too early," he said as if he was falling asleep again
"well, could you move over so I'm not on top of you?" I asked soon he started moving and I landed on the soft warm mattress, I turned to meet his face right beside me, his eyes were barely open as though he felt that if he opened them fully he would be wide awake.
"hi," I said nervously of how close we were
"Hi" he replied "Looking pretty today angel," he said which made me blush
"Thank you, Freddie, I'm surprised you can see me with your eyes barely open," I said laughing
"I don't need to see you," he said "Now could I please get some more sleep before this two wake up"
"Sure Freddie," I said playing with his hair, soon we both fell asleep, I didn't feel long until I had a huge weight on top of me, I woke up to see Lee, George and Fred sitting on me
"Really?!" I said
"You did the same to me " replied Fred
"Yeah but I am 2 people and a lot of pounds lighter," I said, They laughed as they got off me
"What are we going to do today?" asked Fred
"I thought I might read," I said
"No, that means we'll have to do our homework" whined George
"Either way you'll do you homework Georgie" I replied
"No, because I don't want to," he said sounding like a child while crossing his arms
"You are my friend, and if I have to use the Imperious course to get you to do it I will," I said threateningly
"You wouldn't dare," he said astonished
"Try me, bitch" I said
"Youw meawn," he said pouting
"Oh you don't know the mean me, Georgie, you just wait", I said glaring at him, I got from Fred's bed and walked out of the room
I went back to my room and got ready, as I was getting ready Angelina was waking up, I haven't talked to her, I wanted to give her some space, so that way she knows I do not fancy George, besides even though we are friends and close ones, she has never come up to me to confide me her love problems and I wasn't going to pressure her to do it.
"Morning Thea," she said softly
"Morning Angie" I replied, as I went back to my dresser to choose something to wear
"Could I speak to you?" she said
"Um... yeah sure," I said waking up to her
"I just wanted to know, Does George really fancies me or is he just saying that so I won't be cross at him," she asked
"Angie, he does fancy you and he is terribly sorry about the whole thing, he feels miserable," I said truthfully
"So he isn't lying?" She asked
"No, Why would he lie ?" I asked her back
"I don't know, maybe he just doesn't want me to be cross at him, or for you to believe that he doesn't fancy you," she said looking down at her hands
"Angie, he really does fancy you, why wouldn't he, I mean just look at you, You are smart, brave, caring, great at quidditch and not to mention drop-dead gorgeous, he would a bloody damn git if he just fancied you to make someone else believe something different, and we both know George would never be a git," I said looking at her softly "Besides, the letters were mostly written by Fred, and George would pop by to say hi, but it was always Fred the one who wrote" is said kindly
"So he really tried to write?" she asked again
"Look Angie I couldn't be sure, but he did seem like he tried to write, but you've got to understand they only had Errol to send letters with and he isn't the most reliable owl in existence, besides they only wrote to me because Ron also wrote to harry, so I was just there, and George explained to me that a two versus one fight on who to send letters would have failed because he was still short on excuses, all the advantages went to me, he felt really sorry and miserable once he realised he fucked up, Believe me when I tell you that if you were to live with Harry probably you would have received the letters instead of me," I said standing up and walking to my side
"Thank you, Thea I honestly do really appreciate our friendship and I'm sorry I doubted you," she said looking up at me
"No problem and you should go and apologise to George for doubting him, I had nothing to do with any of this," I said
"I will," she said standing up and walking to the door "oh and for the record Thea, you are smarter, kinder, braver, and much more gorgeous than me, not only that but you are amazing, Fred is right you truly are an angel," she said
"Wait!" I said, "How does everyone know that Fred calls me angel?" I asked her
"Because he does it even when you are not around," she said smiling before closing the door behind her
Does he really think I am an Angel? is that why he calls me that? Why does he do it even when I am not around?
I pushed the thoughts to the back of my head and continue to get ready, once I was ready I walk down the stairs just to be tackled by one of Georges hugs
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," he said holding me tight while he spun me around
"For what?" I asked laughing
"For making Angelina forgive me," he said with a wide smile plastered upon his face
"You know I hate seeing you miserable, especially when you looked at her," I said as he pulled apart
"I could kiss you right now you know," he said so happily
"Now we wouldn't want Angie to get mad at you again George would we," said Fred pushing us apart
I just laughed
"I'm fine with a hug Georgie," I said smiling back at him
"Now, I was thinking we could have breakfast down at the lake while we do our muggle studies homework," said Fred
"Yeah, just let me go get my Walkman," I said
"We'll meet you down at the entrance hall with the food ready," said Fred
"Okay," I said as they left the portrait hole and I ran upstairs to get my Walkman and cd's
I turned down the hall exciting Gryffindor tower and walking to the entrance hall when a pair of arms seized me aside.
*TW* possible harassment!*
"Now what do we have here, little miss Lupin huh?" said Kenneth
"Leave me alone Towler," I said trying to pull away from his grip
"That would be fun would it, Princess?" he said
"Yes it would be fun, now please let me go," I said fighting him
"No, until you agree to go out with me"
"I wouldn't go out with you even if you were the only one left in this bloody place," I said getting angrier as I tried to escape from him
"Hey, hey calm down princess, I just want a date with you and your adorable Dollface," he said getting closer and holding my writs tighter
"LEAVE HER ALONE" I heard Fred shout approaching us
"Ah look princess is your dear Freddie," said Kenneth
"I said leave her alone Towler," said Fred with his face boiling red and his jaw clenched
"Why? me and Angel here were having fun, Weren't we angel? " he said tightening his grip and smiling as I let a small whimper out and before I could notice I was in Fred's arms safe and sound
"Are you an okay angel?" he asked looking softly but worried I nodded hugging him
"He called me angel," I said muffled in his chest
"I know, and he doesn't deserve to," said Fred with his chin on my head while hugging me
"How did you find me?" I asked
"You were taking too long so I got worried," he said
"thank you," I said
"anytime angel"
"What happened to you guys?" asked George as we approached the lake
"Kenneth was harassing Thea," said Fred still angry as we sat down so I could explain everything that happened
"That Prat will pay I swear, I swear, no one messes with my family, he will PAY," said George just as angry as Fred
"Guys please don't, that won't make him stop," I said
"I'll do whatever it takes to make him stop," said Fred
"Yeah, no one should treat you like that ever," said George
"I would even beat myself up if ever treated you like that " Said lee
"Thank you guys, but the only thing that will make him stop is if I go on a date with him," I said sadly
"No," said the three of them in unison
"Guys its the only way," I said
"He'll hurt you," said George
"He'll hurt her even more if he doesn't get what he wants," said Fred looking emotionless
"Fred is right," I said "we don't know what he'll do if I keep on declining"
"But-" said Lee
"Fine," said George throwing his hands up in the air "But if I find out he did something to you" he took a deep breath "I'll kill him, destroy him, make him pay, ask Angie to give him detention so bad that he'll have to polish every single tile in this castle, clean every single cauldron, polish and clean all the trophies, go in the lake, I don't know. I will personally make sure I am Head boy just to punish him every single day" said George "and all without magic"
"You forgot pushing him off the astronomy tower," said Lee standing up beside him
"Okay settle down," I said laughing at the thought of George being a head boy.
"Wait wait I forgot one more thing," said George "when I die, I'll personally come and haunt his whole family to death," he said proudly of his threats
"Now can we eat?" I said grabbing a toast of the basket
"oh yeah sure," he said sitting back down
The rest of the morning was spent outside eating, playing, and laughing. I got up to get my music player and CDs.
"Here," I said sitting down beside Fred and hading George my walkman
"So this is the walking music player?" asked Lee
"Lee its not a walking music player, it is a walkman," I said
"So it doesn't walk?" he asked
"No, it just plays music," I said laughing "Now who would you like to hear?" I asked them
"The king," said George smiling
"Okay the king it is," I said picking up my cd where I had all of my favourite Elvis songs and placing it on my walkman
soon it started to play " (You're The) Devil in disguise"
"Hey its the devil song," said Fred
"Yes, this is one of my favourites," I said laying back watching the clouds move
we sat there listening to the sung until it finished and it started to play "Heartbreak Hotel"
"Are all the songs that depressing?" asked Lee
"Yeah, first the girl is a devil, now he is in a hotel with his heart broken," said George
"They're love songs, and this song is blues, which normally sounds more depressive, just wait until burning love" I sad
"Well that doesn't sound like a nice song," said George
"Believe me, it is, "I said
right after it started playing "Burning love" and I got up and danced, George also got up as I sang the lyrics.
"How'd you like this one?" I asked
"Much less depressive," said Lee as Fred laughed
after listening to some more songs we all got up and headed for lunch.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful as Thea sat down on one of the couches by the fire reading while making sure the twins were doing at least one assignment as they really didn't have anything else to do.
Theas POV
"How is work going?" she asked looking down at their half-empty parchment
"Its coming" replied George
"Well it looks like it's very far away because you parchment looks a little bit empty," I said
"What do you expect? Does it look like I know about Hippocampus eggs?" said George
"Well you should, it was mention in class" I replied
"Wait really!?" asked Fred looking nervous
"Yes," I said "They are semi-transparent and really big in size"
"And do you know who is related to Griffin's?" asked Fred again
"Yes, Hippogriffs, as both of them have eagle parts and are capable of flying, besides that's where Griff comes in Hippogriff, the Hippo part comes from the half horse, although Newt Scamander never said they were related to Hippocampus," I said
"Great, and do you know what does the Mackled Malaclaw venom cause?" He asked
"well yes, Snape said it caused," I said realizing that they were using me for answers on their homework "It caused you to look like your worst nightmare," I said lying to them, which probably will get them a bad grade on their potions assignment "But that's potions, have you finished the Care for magical creatures already?"
"Oh yeah, we got everything we needed," said George
"Well then we can go for dinner before we head for Hogsmeade," I said realizing that it was already 5 o'clock and that we agreed to sneak off the castle for butterbeer "But we'll have to be extra careful now that my dad lives here," I said
"Oh shit I forgot," said Fred
"We can go to hogshead instead," Said Lee
"Wait, that's actually not a bad idea," I said getting up from the couch heading to my room to drop my things and head off for dinner.
End of POV
Heading to Hogsmeade was a good decision, they went through the one eye witch passway, stole chocolate frogs from Honeydukes and headed off to Hogshead without no one noticing
As always Thea tried to pay, even for her part, but they wouldn't let her, she always felt bad when the twins didn't let her pay, she had money she could spend but they preferred to spend their savings on her, it always made her appreciate the friendship they had, not always you are going to have friends who would spend their savings on you, she always considered herself lucky to have met them, and she'll probably always will as long as she is with them.
And with that Saturday became Sunday and then with her noticing Monday had come
