IX. Forgive and Forget?

The weekend came over and Thea was glad, she hadn't slept well over the last 2 weeks so when the weekend came over she took the opportunity to sleep in, she was also glad that there was quidditch practice today which meant that most of her friends would be busy for 4 hours and nobody would pressure her out of bed.
At exactly noon she got up and went to shower, she liked showering, she liked that she felt clean as though she was washing off all the tears she shed knowing that she would replace them with newer ones later, but still, it was one of those occasions where no one could bother her, not even her thoughts, it was like meditation, once she got out of the shower she changed into a clean set of pyjamas, and walked down the stairs with her book in hand, she walked out of the portrait and headed off to the kitchens where she knew she wouldn't be bothered, as always she tickled the pear and, as soon as she entered she got tackled by a hug that came from Tommy (Obviously given his size the hug was more to one of the legs), he always loved her ever since they met, and Thea always felt a connection to him, he was basically family to her.
They handed her some mashed potatoes and Lamb chops with a side of tomatoes, and obviously kétchup, she loved kétchup very dearly, maybe as much as Apple pie, or even chocolate chip cookies. she kindly accepted the meal and started to eat it, once she finished they brought her dessert which was a brownie, she didn't mind though she loved chocolate in general.(although she did wish it was apple pie)
Once she was finished she told them she would stay to read there, and of course, they didn't mind, they actually loved the company, some of the elves were interested in what she was Reading and asked questions, she told them the plot and even went as far as Reading to them, she was happy she could share things like these with them, they gave her tea and some biscuits before she left.
after having an amazing afternoon without any questioning as to when she would be talking to Fred again she headed for her bedroom, and as soon as she entered she was ambushed with questions, she didn't even realise George was there until he said
"Could I speak to Thea?" he asked "Privately"

"Sure, we'll just wait outside," said Melissa

" They will eavesdrop, they did it when I spoke to Fred," he said laughing

"Okay," She said sitting down at her bed

"So how have you been?" he asked

"great" she lied

"Stop lying to me Theodora, when did you stop trusting me ?" he said

"I've never stopped trusting you Georgie, I just couldn't bring myself to talk to you," she said truthfully

"why?" he asked

"Because even though you and Fred are completely different you still remind me of him" she replied

"So talk to him," he said

"I can't, ill just cry" she answered

"So cry in front of him, do whatever you need to fix your friendship," he said

"he should apologise," she said "as I told him, I have already done my part, so if he wants to talk to me then he should apologise," she said starting to tear up

"Okay then, but thea please don't cry," he said getting closer to her

"I can't help it, I just get so frustrated because of Fred," she said whilst George hugged her

"He is scared" he blurted

"Of what?" she asked

"He thinks you won't forgive him," he said

"I'll always forgive him," she said "after all he is my best friend"

And with that, he got up and left Theodora alone with her thoughts. The past few weeks had been hard for her, her feelings are mixed and confusing, she had never felt so lonely yet she always accompanied by her friends, for her without Fred no one could make her as happy as she was, maybe it is the way he knows how to make he laugh, or just how she feels whenever she is near him.
