At the start of the stairs that surrounded the west tower, I warned them what was coming. "Just so you guys know, there's going to be a lot of walking, but this is my room." We started up the winding staircase, catching glimpses of the gardens and quidditch field as we walked up. At the first landing, I opened up the door slightly to show my bathroom. "This is my bathroom, and my closets in there too, but you guys don't really need to see that."
"You have your own bathroom?" Fred asked, seeing the large ornate bathroom.
I blushed, "Yeah, it's pretty nice."
"We have to share one with Ron and Percy." George said, shaking his head.
I continued up the stairs and slowly opened the door to my room, cringing at the loud creak that came from the rusty screws. "I keep telling dad to fix that." I muttered, a bit embarrassed. "Here's my room, at least part of it."
Fred and George took in my room, and George collapsed on top of my four poster bed. "This is amazing Ro, but I have to say-"
Fred and George both smiled at the exact same time and said together, "It doesn't look like it's your room."
I smiled and led them to the spiral staircase on the other side of the room. "I can't say it isn't my room, but I do put everything else up here."
They followed me up the stairs and had gaping mouths as they took in the last part of my room. "It's brilliant Rose."
Fred nodded. "Now this is more you."
George went to the record player, which had a queen album on it now. "How many bloody records do you have Ro?"
I shrugged, unsure myself. "I haven't counted in a while, but I like to collect them, and uncle Sirius has given me a ton from when he was a teenager."
"This is amazing. You must have the best view of the entire house." Fred said, looking out from the open sliding glass doors that turned my room into a deck.
I followed him to the balcony, where George soon followed. "I don't know, Harry has a pretty good view of the quidditch pitch-"
George interrupted me. "You have a quidditch pitch?!?"
I laughed at his tone, "Yeah, it's over there." I pointed to the large green space that was just beyond the greenhouse.
Fred grinned widely. "Can we play?"
"Sure! We can head there next, I think we have a few extra brooms in the storage area over there." I said, already excited about the idea. "Actually, one sec. Missy, could you help us out?"
Suddenly the small house elf appeared in front of us, making Fred and George jump. "What can I do miss Rose?"
"Could you give us a ride to the quidditch pitch? I'm exhausted from my run earlier today." I asked, ignoring Fred and George who were looking at the creature with wide eyes.
"Sure." Missy said, taking my hand.
I held out my hand to them, and George was the first to take it, and Fred had to take missys, which he seemed a bit upset about by the way.
Suddenly we were at the quidditch pitch, and Missy was beside us. "Want me to get anyone else?"
I looked at Fred and George, who were busy admiring the pitch. "Sure, why don't you tell everyone that we're playing, maybe the boys will want to join in."
"Ginny will want to play too." Fred pointed out, reminding me of the small girl.
"Right, of course she will. I would pay to see you two get beat by your kid sister." I joked, punching his arm lightly.
"Right away miss." Missy disappeared to the house, and left the three of us alone in the quidditch pitch.
"You have a house elf?" George asked, looking at the spot where Missy had been just moments ago.
"Yeah, we used to have loads of them, but they wanted to be let go, so mum and dad freed them. Missy wanted to stay with us, so they let her." I said, remembering the day about 5 years ago that the house elves all went up to mum and dad and asked for their freedom, and without a second thought my mum grabbed every nice piece of clothing she had and gave it to them, setting them free with some money if they ever needed it.
"That's cool." Fred said, still admiring the grounds.
"So Boys, are you ready to play or what?"
THey both grinned crookedly, and ran to the large shed that housed all the equipment. Within seconds, they were fighting over who got which broom, and who got to be on the team with my dad on it.
"Do you guys have your brooms?" I asked, already having mine in hand, along with my gear.
"Yep!" They said in unison, making us all break out laughing.
"Let's practice before they come by, I haven't been out here in weeks." I said, trying to prepare them for the worst.
We took off in unison, and passed the ball around, Fred even tried to do a few flips and turns, making all of us attempt them. Somehow, Fred and George managed to switch brooms mid-air, and before I knew it, George was on my broom and I was attempting to jump to his. I landed the fall with a graceful stance, still upright on the broom as I did a small flip on the quivering broom.
Suddenly I heard claps and cheers coming from the entrance to the pitch, and uncle Sirius, Uncle Remus, mum, Dad, Mr and Mrs. Weasley, Harry, Ron, and Ginny were all standing there, many wearing surprised faces like Harry and Ron, but Mum and dad were smiling proudly as I sat back down on the broom and flew over to them.
"That was amazing Rose, how did you do that?" Uncle Sirius asked, looking at my broom with amazement.
I shrugged, embarrassed at the attention I was getting for simply messing around with my friends. "Not sure, I was just messing around with the broom."
They all started towards the shed, everyone, even Mrs. Weasley and Uncle Lupin, both who I knew weren't exactly former quidditch stars, not that my mum was either, I got it from my dad.
We argued for a bit about teams, but it was getting nowhere, so my dad appointed team captains. "How about we just have captains? Rose, you can be the first one, and how about..."
"You should be the other one dad!" I said, making him smile.
He chuckled and continued. "Alright, me and Rose."
