I stood there in awe. My jaw practically on the floor.
"Caroline!"
I whipped around when I heard an even more familiar voice from behind me.
"Ellie!"
There stood my best friend of five years, Ellie Spears. Ellie went on a summer long trip to Australia, since that's where most of her family lives. She was born in Australia but moved before she was able to talk, that's how she ended up here. However, we definitely where not best friends at first sight(if that's even a thing). When I first went up to her in first grade, I said hi and told her my name and she responded by slapping me right across the face because I stole her seat at lunch on the very first day. We ended up hating each other for four years, but we eventually got over it when we were assigned a science project in fifth grade.
She came running towards me and almost made me collapse under her sudden body jumping onto me.
The second time in ten minutes I have almost gotten pushed to the ground.
By this time everyone had stopped whispering and minding their business and walking around.
"Oh my god, I can't believe your back, I haven't seen you in forever. And I mean for-ev-er."
I told her as she released me from her embrace.
"I know! But, to make up for it, I brought you some stuff from Australia." She said as she had a funny look on her face.
"Okay, is this a good thing or a bad thing?"
"Good" she said, a large grin spreading across her face.
At this point I was actually a little bit scared. El only had this type of smile on her face when she was up to something.
"So, are you going to tell me or not?"
"I'll show you after school" gosh, this girl could not stop smiling, could she?
"Okay then." I said, a little bit, no a lot a bit curious. She ignored my curiosity and started walking with me to our new 1st period.
"I heard Asher Woods is back." She said.
"Yea, he's back alright." I said, drowsiness in my voice.
"Wait, what? How do you know?" She asked, completely surprised.
"Oh, you didn't hear? We uh, "bumped into" each other earlier this morning."
"Tell me everything!"
"Whoa easy there tiger." I said with a chuckle.
"Just tell meee." I could hear the desperation in her voice. So, I told her what happened and she responded with a laugh and a gasp.
"He actually did that?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yea it's not a shocker though, I mean, I didn't even know him and he got expelled on the third day of school. It's not exactly like we where besties for the resties or anything."
I could tell she was getting annoyed.
"I know. I just thought he would have been a little bit nicer. Especially on his first day back, he doesn't want to get expelled again. I mean, the only reason he's back is because his parents are super rich and bribed Jacobs to let him back in."
Mrs. Jacobs is our school principal. Let's just say she wasn't the best principle in Oregan, but she never gave out detentions but, she always gave out suspensions and sometimes expulsions.
We walked into class as soon as the bell rang and our new teacher, Mr. Barneston walked into the room just in time just to start his lecture on the new school year.Chapter 2 done! Also, more people are reading! Hope you have a great day lovlies!
