One Step Closer

Chapter 15

As the weeks went by, the rivalry between Ronda & Becky intensified as they battled each other both in their in-ring promos & on social media.

Meanwhile, the fatal 4-way match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania was set.

It was going to be Seth vs Drew McIntyre vs Keith Lee vs Sheamus.

While Becky was excited for her husband & was happy that he was finally going to be getting an opportunity at WrestleMania, she wasn't feeling so optimistic herself.

The whole feud with Ronda was beginning to take an emotional toll on her, but she was doing her best not to let it show.

However, she ended up cracking at Fastlane.

Becky was scheduled to go up against Lacey Evans at the last pay per view before WrestleMania, & she was excited about it.

Unfortunately, it would get ruined.

Becky was about to put Lacey in the Dis-Arm-Her when she felt someone tackle her.

The next thing she felt was a fist hitting her in the jaw.

She automatically knew who had punched her.

It wasn't Nia Jax. It was Ronda.

The next thing Becky knew, she had tackled Ronda down & began punching her in the face. Officials raced in to break them up.

However, them showing up only made the situation worse. Ronda kicked one official in the face & tried to tackle Becky again, only to get taken down herself by an actual police officer & getting put in handcuffs.

As Ronda was getting hauled away by police, she looked over at Becky, who was being tended to by Lacey, & yelled, "I'm going to get you, you bitch!"

Becky just shook her head as she & Lacey made their way backstage. Seth was there with a worried look on his face.

He quickly took Becky in his arms & held her close.

"You all right, babe?" he asked.

"Me? Yes. My jaw? No," said Becky. Seth just chuckled.

The next thing most people saw was a fuming Vince McMahon coming from a private room.

He had had just a conversation with not only Shane, Stephanie, & Triple H but also the police.

Turns out that Ronda was being legitimately arrested for assaulting Becky, & the McMahons were trying to figure out a way to handle the situation before it got out of control on social media.

Once Mr. McMahon saw Becky, he managed to calm down & went right to her.

"How are you feeling, Rebecca?" he asked.

"My jaw hurts. I'll probably have to go see the dentist to see if I need work on a tooth or two, but other then that, I feel great," said Becky who did her best not to laugh at her own joke even though Seth & Mr. McMahon did laugh.

Then Shane McMahon came up to his father with some news.

"Ready to release a statement on this, Dad?" he asked. Mr. McMahon nodded & was off.

10 minutes after that, Seth & Becky left the arena & headed home to Iowa where they were eager to be with Roux.

However, there was more trouble headed their way.
