One Step Closer

Chapter 5

The next couple of weeks were busy for Seth & Becky.

In addition to taking care of business at 392 DPort, which included firing the employee who was stealing as well as overlooking some minor repairs to the coffee shop, Seth also got things rolling at his wrestling school with several new students enrolling there.

Becky stayed busy as well with workouts & Roux.

Both were also busy with WWE as well.

Becky's return to Monday Night Raw for the first time in 2 years drew the highest ratings for the show in 10 years, but there were many critics who believed that her comeback was nothing but a publicity stunt meant to take the attention off of AEW.

She wasn't thinking about any of that as she, Seth, & Roux drove from Davenport to Chicago for Raw.

Once at the United Center, Becky got herself ready for her first match in 2 years. She knew she was very rusty despite intense training with several of Seth's students at The Black & The Brave Wrestling Academy, but she was still very excited.

Becky couldn't wait to get back in the ring. She missed it so much.

When it was time, Becky made her way out to the ring to a massive reaction from the crowd, who were chanting her name.

The crowd was also very positive towards her opponent, Bianca Belair.

Once both ladies were inside the ring, it was on.

The match was intense. Bianca even showcased her incredible strength by lifting Becky up over her head & throwing her out of the ring.

Meanwhile in the backstage area, Seth was trying calm Roux down because she was being a bit fussy.

"Do you want Mama, RooRoo?" he asked. She said "Mama" & pointed at the TV.

Then Drew McIntyre, who had recently become a new father himself, came by.

"I see that a little one here wants her mama," said Drew who high fived Seth & made a goofy face at Roux, making her laugh.

Roux then pointed at the TV again & said, "Mama".

"Your mummy is kicking butt out there, isn't she?" asked Drew. Roux giggled.

"I think she agrees with you, Drew," said a smiling Seth as they turned their attention back to the TV.

Becky was breathing heavy as Bianca continued to kick her butt, but Becky had a feeling that her chance to win would come.

Turns out it would happen.

After Bianca tried to hit her with her very long braid, Becky grabbed it.

"Don't even try it!" yelled Becky as she knocked Bianca down & put her in her signature move.

The Dis-Arm-Her.

As Becky bent Bianca's arm at an unnatural angle, the crowd went crazy because they hadn't seen her use that move in 2 years.

When Bianca, due to the intense pain, tapped out & the bell rang, Becky was relieved.

She had gotten that first match out of her system, & it felt good. It felt even better because she had won.

Once backstage, Becky was greeted with cheers & even got a hug from Bianca who said, "Good to have you back, Becks."

Then Becky got to be with Roux while Seth was out in the ring competing against Sami Zayn, who had come from Friday Night Smackdown for the match.

While watching, Becky had a feeling that she was being watched.

When she turned around to look & see who it might be, she was stunned to see who she saw.

Standing off in a corner talking with Shayna Baszler with an angry look on her face was none other then Becky's old enemy from 3 years ago.

The baddest woman on the planet, Ronda Rousey.
