You make your way to the volleyball court after lunch the next day. The court was pretty quite, there was no one calling out for each other, or the sound of the ball slamming against their hands.
They must be discussing their strategy for the upcoming match! I should get there soon.
You walk into the volleyball court as you adjust all the towels you were holding, humming to one of your favourite songs.
You see all the members there, your grandfather and Takahashi Sensei. You greet the teachers and head towards the cornor where all the bottles and bags were kept, to keep all towels.
After keeping everything in place, you walk towards them, to the other side, and something about the tense look on all their face catches your eye.
Maybe the upcoming match is worrying them way too much. I hope it's nothing big to worry about, you silently pray
They haven't spoken a word since I came in. Are they waiting for me to continue talking?
You suddenly notice a new person in the crowd. Maybe not new to you, because you saw him once when you went to hand in a parcel on behalf of your grandfather.
He was tall, had big eyes and wore glasses. His dark brown hair was slightly messy and he wore the same tracksuit from yesterday.
Your eyes met his. "She is the one, she brought this to me" he coldly said, almost pushing a thick bundle into Takahashi Sensei's face.
No one said a word, and all this was confusing you. Everyone looked upset, and your grandfather looked miserably weak, like he would collapse any minute.
No one seemed to notice, so you walk to hold onto your grandfather, that's when you notice the bundle the man was holding.
"Money" you gasp. It wasn't a small amount. That bundle of money would probably pay all your bills for an entire month. And that wasn't it. The same bag you delivered yesterday was filled with money.
"Why.... Wait... What is happening, can someone tell me?"
No one says anything.
"What.. is... Happening... Here?!!" You ask again, looking at everyone in the court.
"That's money.... Umm... I.... Gave...-"
"Where did you get so much money from??" You cut in as your grandfather tries to explain.
"Match fixing". You turn to Takahashi Sensei, who was staring at his shoes, "he tried to pay the other team."
Match fixing, but why? Why would he do it, this isn't even a huge match. Maybe it will do the team some good to get to the nationals, but still.....
"Now don't pretend like you didn't know any of this, (y/n) Chan" Yamamoto says, interrupting your thoughts.
You couldn't speak. You stood their in disbelief, clueless about how to react to it all.

This flashback will probably be a lot longer than I thought. :))
Hope you're enjoying!
