♪breathe - Lauv♪
This song suits better from Kuroo's part onwards, but feel free to listen to it as you read the beginning too!

"Hey, I don't blame you for getting emotional" his voice cuts through you're thoughts, "it's a beautiful piece. I've cried a little over it myself too."
Maybe it's out of embarrassment or maybe he's just shy to talk about it, but his hands run through his hair, and has a little awkward smile on his face.
You feel yourself ease and become less tense now, and return the smile when he looks back up.
"Did you suggest this piece to Yuki?" He asks you.
Oh Yuki! She's the reason I'm here, and where is she?!
"Yes! She asked me to suggest some pieces and this was one I knew pretty well, I've heard it a plenty of times...." Your voice trails off as each memory flashes right past you, like a movie played in your little mind.
"...and I assume you've heard it from someone special?"
"Yes! My father was very fond of it, and my grandfather always played it when he felt good." You smile to yourself this time, and a familiar warmth fills in you.
You break out of your thoughts, and ask, "Are you helping Yuki out with her practise?"
Even though you saw Semi around in school, you never spoke to him. When passing by, you both exchange awkward smiles, or trying avoiding eye contact as much as possible.
But now, talking to him feels so easy, you don't seem to be putting any effort in talking. Maybe it's his aura, but it makes you feel so good.
Apart from Yuki, you haven't spoken properly to anyone, you're either nervous, or just want to avoid people. And this isn't who you are, it just didn't feel right.
The change since Nekoma was all so sudden, it was overwhelming. You didn't want to change, you know this isn't you, but you just can't help it anymore. The circumstances around you started moulding you into a person you never saw yourself as.
But now around Semi, you could feel yourself again, the same comfort, the same ease, the same liveliness creeping in slowly.
"Yes! I've studied quite a few instruments, and Yuki is a close friend. So why wouldn't I help." He replies.
"Oh okay."
The silence after this though was a few seconds, felt like hours. As soon as he realised it was getting awkward, he straightened himself, and asked you, " so have you studied any instruments yourself?"
"Well.... I did study piano for sometime, and could play a small piece or two, but had to stop classes cause I had to shift here."
"That's alright, I could always help you with the piano" he continues, "Besides the music room is always open for anyone who loves music."
"You'll definitely see me around then" you reply.
"So, why did you transfer here?"
It is normal to be asked this question when you join a new school. Until now, you easily avoided any topic that would hurt you.
On any other day, you would've so easily answered this question. But now, as you heard this song, you feel so emotionally unstable, everything you've been keeping in threatens to pour out.
You hesitate a little but then speak up " a lot happened in my previous school. I thought I was fine, but maybe that was just me quietly enduring everything." You breathe in deeply, almost as if breathing in courage to continue, "when my uncle and aunt found out about what's happening, they decided to shift me here."
