Still You [Short Story]

Chapter 8

Taehyung's POV

When Jungkook invited me to go with him in exploring the resort, I accepted it since we are still friends and it's like an opportunity that I can spend time with him alone.

I know Jungkook already has a girlfriend but at the same time, I can't see or want that in reality. I want him to be mine again, fully.

I can't stand the fact that Jungkook is already in love with someone else if only I could turn back time where I let him explain first but I'm still happy because for the past years I think we grew up as an individual.

I just want to spend time with him even if we are just friends.

I'll love you from afar Kookie, even if it will hurt my poor heart a lot. I just want you to be happy.

"Tae? Baby, I know you are not mine yet but I want you to know, I love you okay?" 

I smiled knowing maybe, just maybe, there will be a happy ending for the both of us.

"You know, when I was strolling around the past few days here, I found a very beautiful place and I want you to see it," he said.

"Beautiful place? Here? But as far as I know, this is just a simple yet cozy resort," I said curiously.

"Yeah, but it was like a private place or something, I asked Jimin's uncle if we could go there and he said yes. Do you want to know where it is?" he said happily.

I got curious about this beautiful place that is why I nodded. Jungkook really knows that I love to see beautiful places, anything that can satisfy my heart to the fullest.

We walk and walk and found a little gate and pathway with big stones enough for us to step on. The way was trailed on the sides with beautiful daisies, purple Siberian iris, dandelions, and white daffodils. The flowers are complementing with each other making it more enchanting. While walking along the trail, it was like the scenery in a fairytale.

It was a sight to see. The flowers are so beautiful that you might think fairies are living in that place. As we walk farther more, we arrived in a more beautiful place. It was like a mini waterfall in the center of the resort. Most likely a private place just for those people who are close to Jimin's uncle.

It was so beautiful.

"Kook! Wow! This is a beautiful place! Oh my god!" 

"I know, I wanted to bring you here with me before but I don't have the courage to bring you. But now, I did. I know we are just friends, for now, Tae but I promise, as soon as I settle things between me and my girlfriend I will court you again until you will answer me willingly and I want to gain your trust again, fully. I want to spend time with you in the future," he said as he kissed both of my knuckles.

Tears are slowly gathered in my eyes as he said those words.

"Kookie, I promise I will wait for that moment to happen. I want to be with you and spend more time with you too in the future," I said.

That's true, I really do want to be with him even before we broke up. 

"We will spend our time with our own family Tae," he said.

"Family? What do you mean?" 

"What I mean is that we will build our own family someday Tae. We will have our own kids to raise together. Have our own house to own and stay. I want to have you in my life forever, Tae. I just wish you will wait for me," he said while looking at my eyes directly.

I could see his emotions through his eyes. His sincerity and love are one of those emotions.

So it is true. When a person is telling the truth, their emotions are visible through their eyes. As if the eyes are telling the truth.

I held his cheeks in my hands. As soon as my hands are in contact with his bread cheeks, he melted on it and leans more in my touch.

"I will wait for you Koo, just please settle everything in your life first. Know what you truly love, I will always be there to support you," I said and smiled at him.

He puts his arms around my waist as he pulled me closer to him. I also put my arms around his neck.

"Let's stay like this for a little bit, Koo," I asked him and he replied a simple yes with so much love on it saying he would also love to stay like this for a while too.

He kissed my forehead for a minute or two as I closed my eyes feeling the love that he has for me.  I want this to last but I know we still have to fix something to continue this. I will wait for the right moment for the both of us. Till then, I will grasp this moment for a little longer and savor this magical moment with him.

We stayed there for half an hour goofing around with each other until we decided to leave. I was about to walk away but before I did, Jungkook holds my hand making me stop from walking away.

"Tae, I know this might not be a lot but I want to give you this," he said as he pulled out a purple rose.

"Wha-- Koo, this is a purple rose? Where did you get this?" I asked.

"Here, in the garden. I know it's just a simple rose but I want to give it to you knowing purple is your favorite color and you love roses too," he said while scratching his nape.

He looks so cute!

"Thank you, Koo. This is not just a simple gift from you but you gave me a rare flower. Thank you so much, Kookie!" I said and kissed his cheek. 

He smiled as he held my hand again and leads the way back to our friends.

Koo, you give me a rare flower which granted the sign that I asked for. I think you really are the one for me. I will wait for you, Kookie.
