Still You [Short Story]

Chapter 7

Jungkook's POV

After that day, I could feel that Taehyung is being a little distant from me. I could not blame him though. I know he thinks I am just playing his feelings, but I am not.

The more time I spend with him, the more I realized how fucked up I was before to cheat behind his back and I want to make it up to him. I realized I still and will forever love him no matter what.

I was determined to make him feel the love that I feel for him.

Now, we are on the beach about to go swimming. Our friends are here too, two or three days left until Jin and Namjoon's wedding.

I am planning to talk and clear everything to him. But for now, I will spend my time with him and make him happy because ... I love him so much.

Taehyung is sitting side Jimin looking beautiful as ever. He would casually laugh along with Ami, while Jin and Namjoon are in the ocean. Yoongi and Hoseok are roasting some beef for our lunch near the cottage that I was in.

I was staring at Taehyung thinking what I should do to make it up to him for everything. I guess Hoseok noticed me, so he approached me.

"Kook, what's wrong?"

"Just thinking," I said plainly.

I could not help it though. I know there is still a little anger inside of their hearts towards me for what I have done towards Taehyung before. They just forgive me since they still want to treat me as their friend.

I hope I could also make it up to them, too.

"Thinking about what?" he said as he grabs some grapes from the fruit bowl.

"Taehyung and kinds of stuff," I said before letting out a tired sigh.

"What kind of stuff?" he said as he put another grape into his mouth.

"About what I did before to Taehyung," I said.

"Bro, what you did before was so below the belt. The person trusted you so much, he even said that he loves you too. But I know you regretted what you did to him before," he said.

"Yeah, I definitely ruined his trust for me," I said.

"But I hope you are not doing that again behind your relationship with your girlfriend, bro. If you do not love her and you realized you still love Taehyung, break up with her before it is too late. Don't jump into a relationship with Taehyung if you still are in a relationship, okay?" he said as he taps my shoulder and walks back towards Yoongi.

I was thinking so much from what he said to me. I know I should wait and break up with my girlfriend, but I also wanted to spend some time with Taehyung, the one I truly love.

So, I made up my mind. The remaining days that we will be spending here, I will think of some plan on how to break up with her at the same time still be friends with Tae. In that way, I could let him feel my love towards him.

I approach Tae and talk to him for a bit.

"Hey, Tae," I said a little far from him.

"Hey, Koo," he said smiling.

"Can I join you?" I asked him.

I still want to ask for his consent even if I really want to sit beside him.

"Sure! No problem, Kook," he said.

Jimin and Ami give me a smile excusing themselves to join their boyfriends. Taehyung nods to them.

"Hey, how are you?"

"To tell you the truth Koo? I don't know, I'm happy I could spend time with you guys especially with you like this but at the same time I also want to spend more time with you Kook before I go back to New York," he said smiling and looking to the sea.

"What do you mean go back? Aren't you going to stay?" I asked.

"I wish I could, but my company is there but maybe I will visit sometime later," he said and looked at me.

"Are you going to leave me?" I asked.

Hurt is one of the emotions you can hear and determine in my voice. I was hoping he would stay here with us, with me. But I will for sure change that decision of his.

"No, silly. I will not leave you like before, but I can't also stay you know. But if you need my help, just call me and I will listen okay?" he said as he holds my right hand with his left hand.

Our hands mold with each other like they are made to be together. I just wish fate, luck or even destiny will be with us this time.

"When will you plan to leave, Tae?"

"Maybe two days after Jin and Namjoon's wedding, why?" he asked me.

"That's enough time. Let's go?"

He looked at me confused.

"Go? Where?" he asked me again.

"To spend some time together, just you and me."

He was shocked and confused but soon after, he smiled. I love the idea that I could spend time with him in this beautiful resort.

I stand up and offered him my hand to guide him when he stands up. I let go of his hand as he wears his slippers and then offered my hand again, he gladly takes it.

"Guys?" I called to Yoongi, Hoseok, and Ami.

"Yes, Kook?" Ami replied.

"I will take a look around the resort for a while and bring Tae with me. I want to spend some time with him for a while and maybe talk about something," I said still holding Taehyung's hand.

I saw the three of them look at our hands while Tae was as red as a tomato.

The three of them nods.

"We will just inform Jin and Namjoon once they get out of the water," Hoseok said.

"Be careful guys. Be back before twelve okay? We will be having our lunch," Yoongi said. 

Tae and I just nodded and started to walk away from them.

I could feel Tae's hands are shaking a little so I stopped walking and ask him.

"Tae, are you scared of me?" 

I'm a bit hurt thinking that he is scared of me. I don't want him to feel like that if he's around me.

"No, Koo. I'm not scared of you. It's just what if I fall for you again but you are still in a relationship Koo. I don't want to be a mistress or a second option," he said as he held both of my hands.

"Don't worry baby, I will be all yours soon. Just know that I love you so much yesterday, today, and tomorrow, until forever okay?" I said as I held his face and kissed his forehead.

"I love you too Koo. Always," he said making me smile like a maniac. 

I couldn't stop myself from blushing and I know my ears are probably as red as a tomato right now.

"Let's take it slow, okay love? I want to gain your trust fully, baby. And of course, I will explain first to my girlfriend about everything. Don't worry you won't be my mistress or my second option because you are always my first choice," I said truthfully.

He nods his head cutely making me coo at his adorableness.

"Let's go little prince. We still have a lot of places to wander," I said and held his hands

I promise Tae, I will make everything right first before I ask you to be mine again. I want to love you fully, my love. Just wait for me, my baby.
